Nenan, get well soon. Take a long break from this forum if you need to.

I know you wrote things about feeling down from more than just the wait, so I hope you can start to feel your previous self again soon, and I hope you get PPR soon now that Amman is finally emerging from its relative silence.

Congratulations JayJ ,thats great ,may I ask ? what did you mean about 15 month policy ?

Hi Ph3laa,

It's a new policy they introduced in May to help us out.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob423.asp

Instead of it expiring in 12 months, you have an extra 3 months, and they can extend it for another 12 months. So I suggest waiting until it's 3 weeks before the 15 months, and then you could renew your medical if you didn't want to risk them not renewing it before the 15-month window.

abdmoh, I would suggest saving a local copy of your spreadsheet every time you update it if you want to keep it open for anyone to update, as we had a problem last year in the Damascus forum where someone was quietly going in and deleting everything to play a nasty trick on everyone.

Nice Idea, I will do it

Thanks JayJ ;D

Thanks so much, missmini.

For the interview, it was really comprehensive, but was actually enjoyable for her because the interviewer was really relaxed and funny.

He asked her about my family, about their jobs, about my job, about where she will be living, about my friends, about adapting to different things in Canada like the weather and culture, what I told her about Canada, what she likes about Canada, what she plans to do after she gets here (further education, a job, ...). He joked a lot, and at the end, he smiled and said he didn't have any concerns and that she should come back in a week to get PPR. ;)

He's Korean and has been working as a VO officer for awhile, and has lived many places, so he turned out to be a really good interviewer to have, and you will probably be really lucky if you get him, too.

wooow shoukran kteer lots of good info JayJ....really happy that she had a nice experience she will forever remember and that her first taste of Canada was so nice ;) it really matters i think; it gives her more hope and courage for the change to the new life

i hope we all get him as the processing officer ;) ;) ;)
