Any news today from Amman VO? 6 more days will mark my 14 month wait time ( stage 2 ) :(

By the way I am hearing from others that the Amman VO calls the United Nations embassy in Damascus to call the applicant and inform them about their PPR..Has anyone else heard this ? ( Since the Damascus VO is closed )

My wife got a call directly from the Embassy in Amman this past Sunday for her interview.

missmini -- thanks! You made my morning by thinking about my wife's interview and sending good thoughts our way.

I have great news, everyone -- she got PPR!

They asked her to come in next Wednesday to get her passport stamped.

Thanks to everyone who provided positive support since I've been following this site.

I'll let you know about her interview questions and the Embassy when I talk to her later today.

yaaaaaay elf elf mabrook JayJ &wife, i'm really happy for u :D this is really exciting to see good news from Amman and successfull interviews ;D can't wait to hear details abt how it went and her impression and even funny stories if she has ;)

i'm glad she can go and hand in the passport, much better than sending it by post; even us, even if we need to take the plane i was thinking to go in person and submit it when the time comes and maybe do some travelling too ;) i would looooove to visit petra ;) ;) ;)

now happy packing for her and good luck preparing her arrival for u!! have a lovely life together

Hi missmini, I like your comment about adding it as a favourite number! It's 962 6 520 3300.

Thanks so much, missmini.

For the interview, it was really comprehensive, but was actually enjoyable for her because the interviewer was really relaxed and funny.

He asked her about my family, about their jobs, about my job, about where she will be living, about my friends, about adapting to different things in Canada like the weather and culture, what I told her about Canada, what she likes about Canada, what she plans to do after she gets here (further education, a job, ...). He joked a lot, and at the end, he smiled and said he didn't have any concerns and that she should come back in a week to get PPR. ;)

He's Korean and has been working as a VO officer for awhile, and has lived many places, so he turned out to be a really good interviewer to have, and you will probably be really lucky if you get him, too.

abdmoh, I would suggest saving a local copy of your spreadsheet every time you update it if you want to keep it open for anyone to update, as we had a problem last year in the Damascus forum where someone was quietly going in and deleting everything to play a nasty trick on everyone.

I added myself to the list and saved a copy.
