Hi, I (an Indian citizen) am the spouse of a Canadian citizen, and have received my eCOPR document (electronic Confirmation of PR) document for my PR - Spousal category application. I am currently in Canada on a temporary resident visa. I have received a job offer. Am I able to start working for this company? Please advise. Thanks!

You need a SIN to start working for this company.

If you have your eCOPR, you should get your SIN soon. Just make sure that you communicate with your new employer.

I have read that some can get an appointment at a Service Canada office and get their SIN pretty quickly but I didn't pay attention to how quick.

Thank you, according to the link it says I can start working as long as I've applied for the SIN.
