Hi we won our ADR on 8th March and also have already sent all the required docs.. And the status online is decision made and it's mentioned that they have sent the correspondence of the decision on May 14 2016. But I haven't received anything yet and they haven't even updated my new address on the system wen i have already emailed them my change of address.. Do they send in my mail or my husband's mail.. Do they send anything to my email at all?? How does this work? I am the principle applicant And reside in Australia.. If anyone could help me out it will be much appreciated

Whatever mode of communication they used in previous correspondences is what they will use now, whether it be email or regular mail. If you have a representative check with them if they received anything. My representative received an email from CIC on May 20th and didn't send it to me until May 30th, so that was a 10 day delay.

Send Ottawa a case specific inquiry and find out what the status of the application is. It has been almost a year since you won your appeal.

Hi,
I did my interview in Jan 2016 and after they required some additional documents in Feb 2016 since then a complete silance from LVO me and my wife decided to go to MP she gave appointment 09 may 2016 my wife went there and gave her all details about our case she connected over the phone to cic and asked them about our case they said they have done all the investigation about our case and they passed my eligibility (applicant ) and now they are doing background checks and I received my gcms notes they sended my original documents to my wife in canada on 16 may 2016 but we haven't received yet
now I have two questions
1) how long they gonna take to check my backgrounds
2) we haven't received our original documents
thank you in anticipation

This is the thread for ppl who have been refused, denied. And we are appealing. But perhaps one of the other 5 places you ask teh same question they can help you.

Hi everyone

I just have a question, how come on the ready for visa email it
Noted: This letter is not a guarantee that a visa will be issued to you?

Just curious what kind of supporting documents are suppose to be submitted for an ADR, is it everything even for the documents that had been submitted to the VO are need to be resubmit again for an ADR?

Yes its everything you have to build your case from the beginning...everything that you submitted with the application as well as new evidence you gathered after your refusal..

The ADR is being done here in Canada so its treated like a new case...even when you win and the case goes to Ottawa its treated as a new application in a different way.

The Blue Book will have all the documents you submitted in the original application so you only need to provide new evidence for the ADR.

I don't think it is treated as a new application if you win ADR/Full hearing. For instance, there is no preliminary eligibility performed on the sponsor. There is also no review of the supporting documentation ... if you prove your relationship is genuine they do not have to review the evidence of your relationship.

Basically, in 99% of the cases, the process after winning ADR/full hearing is to check for medical, police record and security check by CSIS.

Thanks wintersnow. I guess that make sense, and I am suppose to prepare 3 copies of new evidence correct? Just curious what kind of new evidence do you guys provided? Like new chat log, trips, outing pictures, family communication, money transfer, etc? I am just trying to get some idea.

Yep 3 copies ... and yep that's what you want to provide. The more the better ... providing it is relevant. We provided an additional 1500 pages of chat log for our ADR/full hearing as well as proof of visiting, pictures with family, proof of financial support, etc.

The chat log showed we communicated every day. It's important to show constant contact.

Hi guys!

We had our ADR May 10, 2016 which was positive (appeal was allowed), We received the letter from the Appeal division maybe June 3rd. And to this date CIC still didn't reopen my hubby's file. Do you know how long it takes to finalize the file from now?

We applied for his PR in August 2014, he was denied in May 2015, we appealed in June 2015, had a date for ADR in January 2016.

Thanks
