If you have an approved LMIA you get additional 600 points in the express entry?! There is no need for you to get the NOI...
It use to be 600 points but they changed it to only 50 points for jobs which fall under b category and 200 points for O and A category. So for lmia I got only 50 points and I’m hoping if in next draw I receive noi that will help me to get 600 points.

Oh i'm sorry, i wasn't aware of this. Well i hope you get it too. Double check your application and make sure everything you entered is actually loaded. I had some issues with it.

Hey, this is not applicable to all because I am working in Alberta from more than one year ( almost one and half year) as food service supervisor with approved lmia and I have express entry profile with cars 390 and I studied here in Canada (Toronto). But I did not received any noi so far.
If you approved LMIA you can apply for direct ITA.

Basically. To get a nomination from Alberta, you have to prove that you the Province is going to benefit from you (paying taxes, working for their firms, etc.)

This is what was said in one of the documents i received from AINP today.

"At the time your application is postmarked and at the time the AINP assesses your application, you must:
 Have an active Express Entry (EE) profile in the federal EE pool, and
 Intend to and be able to live and work in Alberta, and
 Working in an occupation that supports economic development and diversification, and
 Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 300.
If you are able to demonstrate one or more of the following adaptability factors, this may increase the likelihood of your being invited to apply under the Alberta Express Entry Stream:
 Alberta work experience or valid job offer;
 Alberta education; and
 Alberta relative: parent, child, brother and/or sister. "

I have been in Alberta for 10 years now, went to junior high, high school and university and have been working for over a year and my parents have PR and live in Alberta as well. Which is probably the reason why i got the letter so fast, as all of this is also noted on my express entry profile.
Wow that shows strong connection to Alberta

Hey Friend,
I think there is possibility of you Profile to be selected for noi because of your good ties with Alberta but I saw from the past selections that they are giving preference to IT field people.
Good luck
Prince

To get noi from AINP, you must have Express Entry Profile and meet the requirements of one of the three federal programs. To create express entry profile you need IELTS General training exam, bands requirement depend upon your profession.
Best of luck

Well that summarize it all.

You need to have either previous work experience or education from Alberta (and in that case to have there a close relative as well). And of course they do check your NOC. So either they have list of NOC, they will search for or they have a negative list of NOC that would disqualify you (or maybe both).

what was the process after you sent an email to them with the notification of interest letter?
I got a notification of interest from Alberta recently and have sent this to the email as requested but don’t know what next to expect
