Hi All,

I did receive the nomination of interest from Alberta Express Entry, I have accepted and submitted my documents to them. They need to verify and then ones approved, I will get 600 points added to my profile.
Does anyone know how long they take to approve it?
Wow first time I have heard someone got NOI from Alberta.

Please share your details. CRS Score, any connections to Alberta.

CRS points - 419 but for AINP express entry seems like minimum 300 is enough. I'm working in IT and currently living in Alberta. Nope , I did not study here.

So Alberta is also sending NOI to those with strong connections.

Don't think CRS matters for Alberta as long as you have a connection to the province and minimum requirements for their PNP

Pls note that it’s the refusal list for TEMPORARY FOREIGN WORKER PROGRAM . So I guess it doesn’t apply for EXPRESS ENTRT
I did not state that Alberta will or will not apply that list, however because of the lack of information, that might be one of the hint what they might not have in preference. (why to take in people of such professions on permanent basis if they are rejecting them on a temporary work permit).

Hey guys, i received the NOI through express entry last night, i have been in the pool since July. Now i'm waiting for them to contact me and give me further instructions.
Some information that i gathered from my lawyers and some reliability sources is next:
Applicants who have a really good shot at receiving the NOI are the ones with scores between 407 and up and people who have studied in Canada, and have a full time job. These are not the must have requirements, but are the ones they are looking for the most.
Unfortunately, there is not a lot of information online about this particular "program" because it is fairly new... I will keep you updated. Best of luck to everyone!

So basically for Alberta you need to have some connection to the province.

Hey, this is not applicable to all because I am working in Alberta from more than one year ( almost one and half year) as food service supervisor with approved lmia and I have express entry profile with cars 390 and I studied here in Canada (Toronto). But I did not received any noi so far.

Once you get NOI, do not wait for anything. Check their website for details and contact them. If you stay passive you might end up wasting your NOI (normally you have limited time to apply after receiving NOI).

If you have an approved LMIA you get additional 600 points in the express entry?! There is no need for you to get the NOI...

Basically. To get a nomination from Alberta, you have to prove that you the Province is going to benefit from you (paying taxes, working for their firms, etc.)

This is what was said in one of the documents i received from AINP today.

"At the time your application is postmarked and at the time the AINP assesses your application, you must:
 Have an active Express Entry (EE) profile in the federal EE pool, and
 Intend to and be able to live and work in Alberta, and
 Working in an occupation that supports economic development and diversification, and
 Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 300.
If you are able to demonstrate one or more of the following adaptability factors, this may increase the likelihood of your being invited to apply under the Alberta Express Entry Stream:
 Alberta work experience or valid job offer;
 Alberta education; and
 Alberta relative: parent, child, brother and/or sister. "

I have been in Alberta for 10 years now, went to junior high, high school and university and have been working for over a year and my parents have PR and live in Alberta as well. Which is probably the reason why i got the letter so fast, as all of this is also noted on my express entry profile.
