2171- Roles and Resp.

Hi Members,

looking at the so much discussion on Roles and resp, i am little afraid. My previous application was rejected just due to missing Reference letter. I have now applied under 2171. Can some one confirm if below are good.

Here are my Responsibilities:

o Conducting Business Requirement Workshops to gather requirements and preparing the Business Requirements documents
o Preparing Design documents, data flow diagrams and Data Interface structures.
o Estimating the effort and providing the project delivery timelines
o Document, develop and deliver various interfaces based on agreed design between Client Middleware and its partners.
o Performing developer testing and supporting the integration testing with various carriers and client business analysts till Sign offs.
o Monitor existing Interfaces for data flow and responding to queries of Incident co-ordinators in case of service outage
o Perform root cause analysis of incidents in production systems
o Schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as the installation of new databases and upgrades to the landscapes.
o Write and update the support documentation for the existing and new interfaces for the support purpose.
o Tracking overall delivery timelines and customer notes and appreciations.

I think you can add something for tracking and reporting project status. And add some daily or weekly report names.

I think it looks good. However, I'd suggest to provide more details (specific). What is your job title though? Which one of the four big buckets your job falls into? http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=2171

It appears so far that you are into the first bucket (Information systems analysts and consultants). If so, I'd say add more details on your roles in dealing with clients, implementation, solution design, etc. Just my 2 cents.

yes i fall under first Bucket i.e. I T Analysts and Consultants. I have attached my LMO with my application clearly that clearly states that its issued Under 2171.

Can you specifically tell or any one can write their letter details who applied under 2171 and got it. Did you mean to add like

Preparing Soultion Design documents, data flow diagrams and Data Interface structures.

@Singh0G, did noc 2171 worked for u? I have very similar duties, I am a Business Analyst as well, but i have received a response from Nova Scotia to justify why i believe my code ic 2171 and not 2173. Plz let me know if u got ur PR with NOC code 2171 and with these duties in reference letter.
