My 1 friend single applicant Apply on in Feb 2026 and Recive AOR on June end 2026 ontario province

No updates since then. How about you?

Hope the 2026 & 2027 cycle brings good news for all the AOR aspirants.

Every applicant will receive AOR they just have to be patient. What really matters in the end is overall processing time and it should be faster than 2023 applicants, who often waited 3 years to get PR, due to the 1 time policy. If processing takes 1-2 years that is still very fast compared to previous years due to backlogs. Given the volume of asylum seekers, the wait time for protected people and refugees to get PR will start increasing again after the 1 time policy finishes so 2026 applicants will be processed relatively quickly and wait times will likely start increasing again for the 2028+ applicants.

• Application submitted: January 15, 2026
• Temporary AOR (XG): April 2, 2026
• Today September 9, 2026: IRCC requested some missing information. I completed and submitted everything requested through the Webform the same day.

Still waiting for permanent AOR. Hopefully this means they are now doing the completeness check and the AOR will follow soon.

They requested to resubmit my IMM 5406 form because some information about my children was missing in Section B. I’m not sure why it didn’t appear, as I’m quite sure I entered their information when I submitted the application.
