Applicants of Jan/Feb 2024, any update so far? It's been 28 months over. Really upset, got eligibility and pre arrival on April-2025 since then nothing at all. Every time I call they say the same thing.

I didn’t even receive any updates after eligibility on Feb 2025
I don’t know why they didn’t work on our files yet. I think they forgot about us.

I'm not sure if they are honestly saying or not, some people are claiming they got their decisions but they applied after August 2024.

Mostly people are waiting from 2023 and earlier 2024.

If the new initiative took place then should have a bare minimum progress on the applications but I don't see at all.

Did you receive gcms note before?

Do you have secondary office
For my application only showed primary office Mississauga
And not mentioned secondary offices

Super sad for refugees and protected persons.

In the meantime, in front of my eyes, i am seeing lot of express entry and people who married getting PRs like left and right. They completely forget u guys

Did anyone let IRCC know about their marital status change after applying for own PR application under Protected Person class? I want to know the process. I got eligibility and pre arrival. But don't know how let them know that I got married recently but don't want add my wife (Non accompanying) on the application, that might cause delay. I would like to sponsor later once my PR is finalized. Should I raise a web form and include marriage certificate?

ChatGPT and Gemini also telling me to resubmit IMM008 and IMM5406.

I'm totally confused now. If anyone been through this please help me. Thanks

As someone who is currently an overseas dependent, I find this difficult to read. My first thought is about the spouse who is left overseas while plans are made to sponsor them later.

If you knew you were going to marry before your PR was finalized, I can't help but wonder why you didn't consider the immigration implications beforehand. Delaying a spouse's opportunity to become a permanent resident can have significant emotional and practical consequences.

Perhaps there are circumstances I don't know, but I hope you carefully consider the impact your decision may have on your wife. Immigration processes are about real people and real families, not just paperwork. Becareful of KARMA!!!
