Today I called IRCC to check status
The lady said background check completed and eligibility also
Just wait for P1 now keep an eye on email

May 2025 they request some document about background for my spouse.

Are you part pilot project? Which country are you from? I applied march 2024 no update after pre arrival.

hi all want an update from 2024 applicants who applied for pr as a protected person.
i have applied for pr in the last week of sep 2024 and got a request to submit biometrics in feb 2025 for me and my spouse. incomplete form for my spouse imm5669 requested so submit at the same time after that no update at all . please if someone can help me with the same timeline . thank you

We are on similar timelines - I too applied in August 2024. Just called IRCC and checked the last notes on the file. They confirmed the last note on my file was from Nov 2024, when the biometrics were updated. No updates/officer notes since then. Hopefully, we are close to getting an update soon.

I don’t know what’s happening ,,, but now what I see that my medical details are showing empty ,,, and when I googled it and I came to know it’s positive thing which means some office in working on your file …

Do you know how I can link my application to my account

Go to IRCC Secure Account https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html and sign in using:

• GCKey or
• Sign-In Partner (bank login)

If you don’t have an account yet, create one first.

2. Choose “Link an existing application”

Once logged in:

• Click “Link application to this account”

3. Select your application type

Pick the category that matches what you applied for, for example:

• Permanent Residence
• Study Permit
• Work Permit
• Visitor Visa
• Citizenship

Choosing the wrong category is the #1 reason linking fails.

4. Enter your application details

You must enter the info exactly as it appears on your application. IRCC gives you a few search options, such as:

• Application number + family name
• UCI + family name (A UCI has either eight or 10 numbers. It will be in one of these formats: 0000-0000 or 00-0000-0000)
• Passport info + personal details
• Use the same city of birth format IRCC has (try different variations if unsure)
• If asked for number of family members → include yourself

5. Submit & confirm

If the info matches IRCC’s system, your application will link instantly
After that, you’ll see it on your account dashboard.

If it doesn’t work (very common )

• Try a different search option
• Double-check capitalization and spelling
• Wait 5–10 days after submission (applications aren’t always linkable immediately)
• You only get 5 attempts per day — don’t burn them all at once
