Those who claim the information regarding applications made in 2024 is incorrect are quite confident in their claims; however, a friend of mine applied in February 2024 and received his Portal 1 email in early February 2026.

So IRCC doesn't process applications first in first out, and that's not fair at all.
Actually they are giving pr to 2024 applicants not in a chronological order but they are giving them its not a fake news

Myself
Submission: 9th May 2023
Pre-arrive: 24th August 2024
Security: No idea
waiting for IRCC to respond..
My Friend
Submission: 25th May 2023
Pre-arrive: 29th August 2024
Security: Not Started(GMC notes)

Do anyone have any info of recent timelines?

If they are really giving PR to 2024 applicants, we need to go to our MPs and file a petition. This is not fair to 2023 applicants. We have been waiting for three years, and they are skipping us while approving people who waited much less. Let’s speak up and make our MPs hear us

Mandamus will be refused automatically if you are still within the normal processing time. Even applicants from August 2022 cannot apply for it because their cases are still considered within processing time.
The only option now is to file petitions and ask Members of Parliament (MPs) to contact IRCC and explain that 2023 applicants were skipped.
Guys we need to move and act fast

The thing is this, what is "normal processing times"? They changed them when convenient, increase from one day to next. :/

Exactly!

For you guys/gals out of QC a few months ago average time was around 24 months, and now I think they say is around 34? For us in QC it was 46 months back in Sep/Oct 2025 and now it is 61 months.

They keep moving the post, so, it is harder to qualify for Mandamus.

If we can find a Member of Parliament (MP) to sponsor our cause, an official e-petition can be launched on the House of Commons website. Once it is live, we can all sign it, and the MP will formally present it in Parliament

The current processing system is deeply unjust. Countless individuals have endured years of separation from their loved ones, yet dependent family members cannot receive their Permanent Residency (PR) until the principal applicant's file is approved. This systemic bottleneck does not just impact single applicants; it causes prolonged emotional and financial hardship for entire families

100% true but I read every year there are petitions like this and nothing happens. Even now we are waiting for this one-time initiative...let's see if finally moves faster.
