Those who claim the information regarding applications made in 2024 is incorrect are quite confident in their claims; however, a friend of mine applied in February 2024 and received his Portal 1 email in early February 2026.

So IRCC doesn't process applications first in first out, and that's not fair at all.

Yes it’s not fake. One of my friend who applied in February 2024 received P1.

Yes! I agree! Happy for them but at the same time why we have to wait no reason! I hope we will get good news soon.

If they are really giving PR to 2024 applicants, we need to go to our MPs and file a petition. This is not fair to 2023 applicants. We have been waiting for three years, and they are skipping us while approving people who waited much less. Let’s speak up and make our MPs hear us

But I heard with mandamus you have to pay a lawyer and it is quite expensive, is that true?

Mandamus will be refused automatically if you are still within the normal processing time. Even applicants from August 2022 cannot apply for it because their cases are still considered within processing time.
The only option now is to file petitions and ask Members of Parliament (MPs) to contact IRCC and explain that 2023 applicants were skipped.
Guys we need to move and act fast

For you guys/gals out of QC a few months ago average time was around 24 months, and now I think they say is around 34? For us in QC it was 46 months back in Sep/Oct 2025 and now it is 61 months.

They keep moving the post, so, it is harder to qualify for Mandamus.
