I can’t wait for the day when there’ll be no updates on this thread. So those of us from 2025 will start having hopes. Because it’s ridiculous that we still have applicants from 2022-23 Still waiting.
The spouse has been in Canada too. Not yet received, it’s still being processed.
Honestly, I don’t understand what’s going on with this site. Last month I was at 16,500, and this month I’m at 9,800. So what happened to the 6,800 people who were ahead of me? And the processing time hasn’t changed — it still shows 30 months for me in Quebec
What I observed in this forum is they stopped processing on april 2023. Nobody who applied after that date had news. So why the numbers are decreasing. It is strange. I have hope but it will be good they explain how they will be processing under this one-time initiative.
This reduction is one of three: 1. They split applicants from dependent 2. Mass cancellation of the application 3. They started a one-time initiative program(the number of reduction is very close the number allocated per year).
i believe they removed lots of fake/expired applications from the past. no other way to explain 50,000 applications disappear within a month
Same here, Quebec too. I was at 15,500 in Dec. and now at 9,100 and 28 months (was 32 in Dec)...I still don't know if QC applicants are gonna be included in the one-time initiative...mum's the word from IRCC/Gov so far.
