If this is true, then, the point is: Why they accepted so many applications?? I agree in the part where it says "criteria an decisions are subject to change", but never said about how they would process all applications. If NSOI had over 500 applications they would have stopped the program and don't accept more applications. It's illogical to accept more than 3000 applications to nominate only 150 people. If they accepted more than 3000 applications because they would open all applications and select the best ones. It sounds logical. Anyway, however this program is a gibe. I don't understand why NSOI isn't doing a professional job if they as Canadian people wants the perfect people to be accepted in their country.

I am disappointed with this program, but I am going to send an email to Canadian Immigration Minister.

It is absolutely useless to accept more then 3000 applications to select 150 people; worst is to nominate the person, who's application received first.

Just had a chat with NSIO, she said that 115 nominations has been done, working on application received by 14th March, she has no update on CAP increase.

I got the reply from askus@gov.ns.ca

Hello bluemoon2014,
I have received same reply that u received . I had also sent mail to them whom u sent and got same reply . I think they reply same to all .
My application reached nsoi on 18th March 2014 . I think that i will not get prescreen mail as their target of 150 nominations will reach from applications received on or before 14th March .

I think they have done with application selection part and now just making people fool...

They are not sharing the data on site and this looks like an private company working to gain profit and waste time of applicants ..

Guys Good News, I got the Nomination today [Sept 5] [NOC 1111 Financial Accountants], the same has been approved on Sept 2, 2014. I had sent my app on March 7 [reached on Mar 12], then received the pre-screening email on June 3, 2014. Later on received a email for further queries on Aug 7, 2014 [wherein they mainly asked for correction in forms, details of friends and family in NS and [about my bro living in Ontario, to confirm that i will stay in NS instead of family ties in Ontario]. I replied them for their queries on Aug 27. Thanks for all the support of this forum. Thanks a lot and wish you every one best of luck.

First of all, Congrats on your nomination!!! Second, I am 100% sure that NSOI only is nominating applicants on or before March 14th, obviously. Therefore, they will not open any files after that date. I don't know what to do, smile or cry?? This is like a "mentada de madre, como se diria en mi país". I wish when they post this program again they must warn to all people what kind of method they will use and the program will be open only one week. This program was a wasted of time, money, bad moments and everything. By the way, recently Manitoba open a immigration program like NSOI, but I cannot to apply because they don't want you have any friends or family in other province, what a shame! Anyway, if someone is interested can see on their website. Here is the link: http://mordenmb.com/business/immigrate-to-morden/how-to-get-here
