Hi All. I know it is strange but it happened with me yesterday.I got a call from Canada, it was automatic call, it was told to me that this the call from Canada immigration department and it is to check the originality of an individual and if u r the person who has applied for immigration press 1 and I did that and the call got disconnected by itself.but I am wandering it's Saturday there. I don no, is somebody playing a prank with me or what,I am confused totally. Plz Suggest...

i also got a similar call from number +1 (646) 205-08010 three times in last 2 weeks. I searched the internet for the internet and found it to be a scam. i am not allowed to post a link here, so anyone who was to check may search the number on google and read the first search resultSHELLY-8 said:

1) CIC will never call you. If they want to communicate with you, then they do through e-Mail or ordinary post.
2) CIC never ask for money through call/telephone.
3) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/protection/fraud/report.asp
3) Personal suggestion also, don't share your confidential information on What's up group.
Please ensure you do not provide anyone over the phone or via email any confidential information, including, but not limited to, your
banking details and any details about your immigration status in Canada.
