I heard about this provincial program and I would like to apply, but I have concerns about this requirement:

- "You have at least two (2) years of continuous full-time work experience within the last five (5) years, in a field of work related to your intended occupation in Nova Scotia";

...and...

- "Your intended occupation is a National Occupational Classification (NOC) level 0, A, or B and there is demonstrated demand for this occupation in the regional labour market in the community in which you intend to live".

This is my personal situation...
Considering the last 5 years I have totally 2 years of experience in the financial field:
15/06/09 - 11/09/09 (13 weeks) Findomestic - 1435 Collectors
13/09/10 - 31/05/11 (36 weeks) Ing - 6235 Financial sales representatives / 6551 Customer services representatives financial institutions
23/01/12 - 21/09/12 (35 weeks) Deutsche Bank - 6235 Financial sales representatives
10/06/13 - 13/07/13 (5 weeks) Genialloyd 40h - 6231 Insurance agents and brokers
15/07/13 - 31/10/13 (16 weeks) Genialloyd 32h - 6231 Insurance agents and brokers
[Previously I have another year and more in one other credit office]

Now, my doubts are:

1- What does "continuous" mean? I'm scared of know the answer...
2- Those NOC would be compatible with the eligibility criteria? I searched them by my-self but they could be wrong. In case.. how should I proof the exact NOC code?
3- Looking at that... Basically... I'm in or I'm out??

Thanks and sorry for the long post!

Well, I would select one of this experiences, and in my letter of history record , I would try to write all the activities involved in the NOC chosen,
but if you could not get a letter from your current employer stating this, it will be difficult to prove your 2 year of continuous working.

I have just called Nova Scotia immigration office.... "Continuous" means continuous, without any other interpretation. So I am out, but maybe this could be helpful for somebody else.
Good luck..

you need a software that allows you open the file, write on it , save it and the print the document.

also you can print the document, use a pen, or the typewriter...

there is no a guide for this, the point is the officer understand what are you writing.

best luck !

Changes to Provincial Immigration Nominee Program
Immigration
February 20, 2014 1:03 PM
The province is strengthening the Nova Scotia Nominee Program.

A new Regional Labour Market Demand stream will help attract immigrants with the right skills to meet Nova Scotia's labour needs.

"Immigration will be critical to Nova Scotia's future growth and success, and that's why government has placed such a high priority on it," said Immigration Minister Lena Diab. "The new Regional Labour Market Demand stream will focus on attracting immigrants who are ready, willing and able to work where they are needed most."

Through the Nova Scotia Nominee Program, the province can nominate potential immigrants. The federal government sets the number of immigrants the province can nominate and makes the final decision on whether they can become permanent Canadian residents.

Under the new Regional Labour Market Demand stream, applicants will be assessed based on experience, education and language abilities, and ability to work in Nova Scotia's most in-demand occupations.

"I will continue to work with the federal government to ensure the nominee program meets Nova Scotia's needs," said Ms. Diab. "The federal government is an important partner in maximizing our potential to bring new immigrants to Nova Scotia through all possible immigration pathways."

The Regional Labour Market Demand stream will replace the Community Identified stream. The federal government directed all provinces and territories to close non-economic immigration categories, such as the Community Identified stream, which was primarily focused on community connections.

Complete applications through the Community Identified stream will be accepted until March 6. Applications already submitted will continue to be processed.

More information on the Nova Scotia Nominee Program is available at www.novascotiaimmigration.ca .

Thank you for swift response.

I mean to say, are you able to edit NSNP 100 from using this software?? I am sure this software would not provide edit functions and you need to open via this and take print and then fill using pen.

I am correct ?? Or still you feel that NSNP 100 can be edited with this ?

Work experience: When or what year would this include? Can you technically include 2008-2013 as the recent 5 year period since we just started 2014?

Opinions anyone?
