Please check the guide line once again. They added an another link also in the very next page.I couldn't paste that link here.

"The amount of money you need to support your family is determined by the size of your family, as shown at the table at the following link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp. This table was developed for the Federal Skilled Worker program, but the amounts also apply to the Nova Scotia Regional Labour Market Demand stream."

Yes you are correct but see more information. Please read the next page(7) top of the updated Guide (02 April 2014).

Next page,

The Office of Immigration may not approve an application if it appears likely that your family income will be
below Statistics Canada’s applicable Low-Income Cut Off,
at Table 3.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5196ETOC.asp#5196E9

I don't understand this one.

My undertanding of this is

They will evaluate if your income once
Living in ns will cover the minimum low
Income, so you don't have to prove this
Funds to apply

IMO it refers to proof of fund including property and investments by the applicant. I may be wrong here. But this really bad that such things are uodated at site 25 days after program was open.

Hello Everyone!!! ;D

I have been following the discussion for a while. Really interesting. my application was received on 2nd April. NOC 3113(could not find any other dentist on the thread. feels like I am having an edge if they consider selecting applicant from every occupations :P ;) who knows how many dentists might have applied considering they might even don't know about this forum) may be signed by T. Shaw( I don't think it really does matter. i mean they could be anyone, most probably the front desk guys who receives all the mails).

It is good that someone has heard from NS immigration office. I believe that the office will do pre-screening on the first come first served basis, but sincerely doubt if they will provide nomination in same way. Anyway, I am not so hopeful to get nomination from NS though I though I have strong base.
I mean, only 150 nominations from thousands of applications lead me to believe that having hope of getting nomination will lead to disappointment. It will be like winning jackpot and I have never ever won the 4th or 5th prize :P :P :P!!!
Anyway, best of luck guys.

and just wanted to clear the confusion, the below table is for the person living in canada and want to sponsor someone to immigrate to canada, not for the person who want to immigrate to canada.

Table 3

Low Income Cut-Off (LICO)
Size of Family Unit Minimum necessary income
1 person (the sponsor) $23,647
2 persons $29440,
3 persons $36,193
4 persons $43,942
5 persons $49,839
6 persons $56,209
7 persons $62,581
More than 7 persons, for each additional person, add $6,362

Hope this helps.

May be true, but they mentioned 'your family income ' not value of property and investment...i hope income from these and others

I think they are referring liquidity ( cash amount) instead of assets.

I am really disappointed with NSIO office. They are changing application criteria on fly.

Oh I see,

Amount can be declared by applicants who are in Canada and sponsoring their family.
It could be part of this program "Community Identified Stream" as they replaced it with new one.

I think they are not going to put in the guide 2 different
Tables of fund

The first one is to apply in my case we are a family
Of 4 , so to apply i need to prove 20 000 cad

But they will check if my future income will cover
The lowe income for example i need to have job
That pay me at least 3,583 cad per month to
Cover the 43000 requested if they check
That my profession allows me to earn this probably
I pass this point

Dear all
Given fund detail for those who living in Canada and wants to sponsor their relatives, First of all the have to show annually funds to Canadian govt. as per their family strength as per detail. This detail not for outsider, outside required $11815 for one person and more as per family strength.
Low Income Cut-Off (LICO)
Size of Family Unit Minimum necessary income
1 person (the sponsor) $23,647
2 persons $29440,
3 persons $36,193
4 persons $43,942
5 persons $49,839

They had already declared that they have the rights... at the same time i believe we have hope. Please refer below declaration in Application Guide

There is no deadline for applying to the NSNP. However, program criteria may change without notice and your
application will be assessed according to the criteria in place at the time the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration
(NSOI) receives your complete application

You are correct as they have rights to change.
but within one month if they are changing 4/5 times criteria that is not good immigration program.
