With due respect, could u plz let me knw where it is written dat dey will serve on the basis of 1st come 1 st serve
Dnt make fake assumptions...
Wat if we dey will apply Last in first out.....
So just wait for results....

Hello everyone,

I am sorry I also do not believe in first come first serve basis.
Yes I submitted on the month of April and was received on the 8th but that is not because of that lol

There are a lot of NOC in demand in Canada.
If the first 20 who submitted are all NURSE and under one NOC number, does that mean they will cater all the first 20 who submitted which is a NURSE. (then the supply will be higher than the demand)
most probably they will take according to the needs of NS (current demand)
And I think we all have a fair share on this.

Just my 2 cents to the thousands of applications and we are praying we are still going to be selected even if we submitted April

In my opinion, first come first serve will play a role in when your application is opened and when you have an opportunity to be nominated this year or queued or next year. I have never seen a manual immigration program that does not use first come first serve. That's why Canada will eventually go to the Australia approach which pres elect the most highly qualified via an embedded points system that computerized and calculated as you apply. Even the Australia approach has a time factor but the effect is reduced to select time ranges - or applications submitted within each selection round. One thing I know is....the first come first served is the determinant for if / when application is queued next year

Hi Please inform what if I have sent IELTS Academic result with application as it was not mentioned before. Also they are saying CIC will need so do I have chance to send general result when I send my file to CIC if I get nominated My IELTS band is 6.5 academic. I tried for giving IELTS general now but till June 2014 all centres in my city are full. Lets put it to destiny as I feel they should not change the requirements suddenly.

Hi friends, please check an important update(02 April 2014) in Application Guide about Required funds

Further Information on Required Funds
You must show that you have a sufficient amount of funds to successfully establish yourself and your family in
Nova Scotia and to pay your immigration costs and travel expenses (if applicable). The funds must be in your
name or in the name of your accompanying spouse. These funds must be unencumbered (by debts or
obligations), transferable and available to you.
The amount of money you need to support your family is determined by the size of your family, as shown at the
table at the following link:
This table was developed for the Federal Skilled Worker program, but the amounts also apply to the Nova Scotia Regional Labour Market
Demand stream.

The Office of Immigration may not approve an application if it appears likely that your family income will be
below Statistics Canada's applicable Low-Income Cut-Off at Table 3.

Table 3

Low Income Cut-Off (LICO)
Size of Family Unit Minimum necessary income
1 person (the sponsor) $23,647
2 persons $29440,
3 persons $36,193
4 persons $43,942
5 persons $49,839
6 persons $56,209
7 persons $62,581
More than 7 persons, for each additional person, add $6,362

I expect your comments.

Thanks can2174, for setting the record straight. You've always been doing a great job for us.

Well, to those who post false news in this thread, may I say go f*ck your own ass. You are not welcome here.

We cannot conclude that he/she posted a false thread. We don't want to discourage people from posting any information that may be helpful. We can ask questions and make conclusions. I remember when people were castigating those that started the cap rumour. It was initially made public but it turned out that the rumuor was correct. If someone sent his / her package via next courier vs. 7 day courier on the basis of the rumour (before it was confirmed to be fact), he or she benefited. It turns out too that this member stated clearly that it was not his / her application it was one of the applicants of the firm he works at. He / she will not know all the detailed information. He /s he also shared the exact statement from NSIO in the communication. THe inference from his message is that pre-screening had started...AND THEN...we get official update from NSIO suggesting the same. My plea is, let people share, and we can ask questions to validate their message and decide by our individual selves if we want to believe it or not. Let's not curse people out
