    The reason your family is not receiving CCB or any governent payment is that he needs to file his taxes. Until you are divorced this will be an issue even if you get some form of legal status. CCB is based on family income.

    Has he been filing his taxes? Why wouldn’t he sponsor you yet he is willing to share a bank account? Do you see any governent payment within a year?

    But that doesn’t guarantee you won’t be removed and so much has changed since the policy was created. For example you can now get an SOWP while applying inland or Outland if in Canada. There isn’t a huge benefit to applying inland if there is a chance you may be removed during processing.

    Would warn you that going to the US and then trying to reenter to get another 6 months may not work if you do it multiple times. Mr X is still a visitor and will be expected to return home and reestablish his ties to his home country eventually before trying to visit Canada again.
