    H&C question

They are still processing 2023 applicants. The program is being examined for reforms since it is essentially no longer functional. What is your status in Canada?

    H&C question

Not even 2 years for 2023 applicants these days. Most are waiting closer to 3 years just for AIP and then another year for PR. Also very little movement.

    H&C question

Yes that is actual current processing time given the backlog if you applied today. The program isn’t functional and needs reform. There are very large number of applicants and a very small quota allocated every year.

    H&C question

H&C does not prevent removal so CBSA will likely try to remove those without status.

Used to be AIP believe it changed either this year or last year. Would go to a large Service Ontario since many are not familiar with spouses being sponsored. It was changed because when spouses were more easily able to enter Ontario during sponsorship many didn’t realize they wouldn’t have...

Visitor Visa Refusal - Strong Profile but Denied for 'Ties' and 'Purpose'. Advice Needed!

Extremely unusual for 2 parents and their toddler to want to visit Toronto for 10 days for no good reason. Would warn you that if your goal is to claim asylum expect that you may be separated from your children for a decade if not longer given the backlogs if you are even granted asylum.

    Parents & Grandparents Program(PGP) 2025 - Invitation Timeline

PGP is a long process (1-3 years). It is clear that most have not received AOR so be patient. Even if processing takes a long time you were extremely lucky to get selected.

Inland vs Outland (OHIP and Travel)

That is not AIP. That is AOR or sponsor eligibility approval.

Commute between oath and getting Canadian Passport

The intent to remain is not a lifelong commitment to Canada. Also appears as though he is primarily paying US taxes so not the huge benefit you are suggesting.

    APPEALS

Also could have been pure coincidence. You were in a queue for processing. An MP has minimal impact on applications that have not exceeded somewhat normal processing.

Inland vs Outland (OHIP and Travel)

As soon as you get sponsor approval you should qualify based on new rules. “are applying for permanent residence in Canada and: have submitted an application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and IRCC has confirmed they have reviewed the application and that you meet the...
