I am exactly in the same boat as you.

Agent told me last week that someone touched my file on Sep24th.

I am also CEC, AOR Jan 24th.

The agent was really nice. Told me that my eligibility has moved from Not Started to Review Required. When I asked what in particular is the issue or if there is a red flag, the agent said there is nothing that indicates whats the reason behind the RR.

I ordered the GCMS notes in July but never got em.

@cansha can you offer any insights on what I can do proactively, please?
I am also in same boat as you. CEC Inland Aor Feb 1. My file was also touched on 23rd Sept and some notes were put. Agent didn’t tell me what those notes were. I also ordered notes on 12th July that I never received.

Too many similarities. Wondering whats happening?

@HN92 & @arora_sandy

We all 3 are in the same boat.

I would advise you both to order fresh set of GCMS notes as we all 3 had review required on or around 24th September so the notes that you ordered wouldnt be of much help even if you receive it now.

I ordered new GCMS notes on 1st October, 2019.

I hope & pray that we get our PPR well before the notes arrive.

I wish wait ends for all of us who are waiting for more than 6 months.

We all get PPR this week.

God its time for you to show some magic.

Hi all,

I found out yesterday that my VO is Montreal. After reading about everyone's experience with this visa office in this thread, I decided to join and share my story as well.

So far my timeline is as follows:

Stream: FSW - Outland (Applied from USA)
AOR: June 22, 2019
Medical Passed: July 26, 2019
Biometrics Submitted: July 29, 2019
Called IRCC: August 26, 2019 - Agent told me that Medical and Criminality are passed. Eligibility and Security not started.
Called IRCC: October 7, 2019 - Agent told me that Medical and Criminality are passed. Eligibility and Security not started.
Applied for GCMS notes: October 8, 2019

Wish you all good luck!

Hi Guys,

Need urgent help, I got email for an interview at Etobicoke office on 16th Oct but i had sent my passport for renewal via BLS Brampton on 1st OCT.
I don't expect the passport to arrive before my appointment. Is there a way
1. I can may be expedite my passport renewal process.
2. I can get my old passport back from consulate as it would expire in July 2020 so it is still more than 6 months.
3. Can I have my appointment date changed.

Any guidance would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks

I thought biometrics is mandatory for all the outland applicants. Isn't that correct?
I was worried because I haven't received biometrics request even after 6 months.
I have the same situation. I'm FSW-outland and my AOR is March 12, 2019. Never received BIL since then. I guess the only difference is that my eligibility now requires review and it will take forever... that is so hopeless

Its been real guys. This platform helped me alot. Here's is my timeline
Fsw- inland- 1 year work experience
Feb 2nd-AOR
March 15- MEP
Didn't hear anything for a while
Called and they kept saying application processing.
Ordered GCSM notes Jul 3 never heard back
July 10 eligibility became RR, security &criminality ,
not webformstarted.
Raised- got usually response that isn't helpful. Never got any notes so didn't know why RR
September 17- application approved
September 18th- called and was told approved and would likely get an in person interview as I had valid visa and there was alot of backlog and an interview is easiest for them.
September 18th-GU
October 3- raised another webform at like 3pm.
October 3- at 5ish pm got email for landing interview for Oct 10
October 10- COPR
VO- Montreal
I never got a counterfoil and I'm not from a visa exempt country.

Good luck to all! Hopefully our paths cross in Canada

Hi @English_jen . Congrats on your approval. I am also fsw inland, March 3rd AOR. I was told by an agent over the phone that my application was approved September 17. But im still waiting for the landing interview email. The wait feels like forever....
Can u pls brief us about how your landing interview went?
I will like to have an idea of what to expect. And also did u receive your copr in your email? Or was it issued to you on the day of your interview. Thanks in advance for the reply

You should give them a call and explain your passport situation to them.im sure they will be willing to reschedule a new
appointment date. All the best

Thanks for your reply. does renewing my passport affect my application? should I let CIC know that I received a new passport?
Renewing your passport wouldn't affect your or processing. Once you collect your new passport. Attach your biodata page through the webform and inform them about it

@ms_tauruss yeah I know the feeling of waiting for that email. You raise a webform asking on your status even if over the phone they've told you approved. Just maybe it might move them to send you the ppr or landing interview. The agent that told me I was approved said I wasn't going to receive the interview or ppr till second week of October. So it's possible now your approved they might have a date they want to send that email.

The interview was very straightforward. I didn't get anything in my email except a letter saying the date, time, location. It also asked for 2 passport ( one had to be stamped and dated at the back by the studio that takes it), and proof of RFP payment. I did the landing in Ottawa. I waited 30 mins for my turn. When they called me they asked me for my passport and the two passport photograph. Then she asked if I had dependent (no) and if I've committed any crime or been denied entry to Canada before (no). Then she asked the date of my last entry to Canada at which border out airport. She stamped my passport with a date, printed the COPR asked me to sign and gave me a copy. I'm traveling in December so I asked her if the PR card can be expedited and she said she'll try to do that as PR cards are processed in Sydney VO. Overall it took less than 20 minutes and it was a very casual process. I hope you hear back soon. Goodnight!!
