Wooow! Congratulations. You got it at exactly 6 months. Like some alarm for the officer bell rang and your name was called.

A sign that they are still working. I had given up hope on hearing anything from Montreal before next year. They really surprise us when they want to lol
We may see one or two more before the end of today

I was literally in a black hole yesterday when I saw the status changed to 'Your application is taking us longer...' because so much of our life is riding on this PR. It is truly a miracle! Thank you for the wishes everyone. Next level of challenges await us. I would love to meet our gang in Canada, please let me know if you all set something up.

Hello folks,
I had a question and was wondering if anyone could help out with the answers.
When does IRCC actually check the POF ? is it in the eligibility stage or is it in the background check stage? Does eligibility pass mean POF was approved? the reason am asking this is when i submitted the documents at AOR i had enough balance in my savings account that i had shown them but due to personal situation I do not have that minimum amount now but I did send them many other documents such as shares and FD's that can be liquidated at any time and all on bank letterheads with clearly mentioning the same which adds up to much more than the minimum that they require for one person. I tried to look up online and read through the kubeir forum but it doesn't say anywhere if its ok if the balance drops post-AOR.
I know we are required to show the funds again when we land there at the airport, by which I will have the amount back in my account.

Time and time again, people have said that it is best to maintain the funds till approved and even till after landing because it is clearly stated on their website. I understand that it can be difficult to maintain that huge amount of money for a loong time, in our case 6months or more especially when you have needs, bills and things to use money for. But if you can do your best to get the money back to the minimu it would be great. Some people have been asked to show updated statement of account. Someone was even asked to show statement of account from AOR till the date of the letter sent. So its always safest to maintain it so as not to take any chances
