Hi IMGNSPNP,

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I've submitted my old xray films already and they compared it but they still asked me to do the sputum test. I told them that i have a clearance from a pulmonologist way back 2013 but the nurses said that they will still require me to do another sputum test. I called them earlier and asked the nurse if they can compare my xrays one last because im I need to be in Canada before August 30 and he said that they will stick to St. Lukes xray result. It's just frustrating that I never had a tb but I still have to do this. I have a clearance but they wont honor it.
I feel your situation but atleast onside of the confusion is cleared that is they do not accept old reports. You better inform this possible delay in your visa processing to the college/university you are about to attend.

All the best.

Got my sputum test results and it's Negative :). Going for re-X-ray on Apr 30

The long wait is over. Fingers crossed for rest of the process.

I wish good luck to all who are currently under sputum smear tests.

Hi experts,

I am FSW outland candidate (from India). I have submitted all my docs to CIC including my medicals (submitted the application on 13th April).
Today I got an email from High Commission of Canada for Futherance request for additional medical tests. Actually I had TB around 20 years back when I was 9 or 10 year old (I am 32 now). I think that might have caused this furtherance request.
My question is that what is the procedure? In the email they have not clearly mentioned about which additional tests do i need to undergo. How will I know what tests I need to undergo again. And where will I submit those reports, as my CIC profile doesnt shows any upload link to provide new medical report now.
Any help on this will be appreciated.

My question is that what is the procedure? - visit the same panel physician where you initially took your medical exam with the furtherance email you have received. In the email they have not clearly mentioned about which additional tests do i need to undergo. - Furtherance email do not include the test that you supposed to take. ONLY panel physician will let you know. How will I know what tests I need to undergo again. -Again, only panel physician can see what all test you are referred to in the e-medical system. And where will I submit those reports, as my CIC profile doesnt shows any upload link to provide new medical report now. - you DO NOT submit any of the furtherance reports through your EE profile. Panel physician will forward all the reports directly to CHC via e-medical system.
Any help on this will be appreciated.
Hope this helps

Thank you so much for the help! When did you take your sputum test? How long was the process for everything including the re-xray? Congratulations, sir!

Hi friends,

The panel physician made a typo in entering my email ID,due to which i did not receive furtherance email from CIC.
I got to know about further tests only after rigorous follow up with panel physician. Sadly all this wasted over 2 months.
I am sure I have missed the deadlines that CIC would have specified for completing sputum tests and re xray.

Please advise what to do.

Your situation is very unique. I feel sorry for you. You can do one thing. Contact Canada High Commission Regional Medical Office and report the situation and also discuss if any solution with your panel physician at the same time. Not sure to what extent you can find solution doing this but certainly you will find a solution.

Hi Sir /Ma'am,
Just want to ask if there is a delay from my medical (need to have sputum test or 6 months medication),do we need to inform the CIC? Or in the manila embassy? Or the accredited hospital/clinic will inform them? What is the email of CIC/manila embassy?

I expect my medical will have a delay because of my scar in the lungs.

Thanks

That's advisable after St. Luke's asks for the further tests for the scar, their email is in this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/manila.asp

HI

furtherance is not guarantee for all applicants with abnormalities in the x-ray but It is CIC discretion. If CIC needs you to undergo further medical tests you will be emailed and the same information will be passed to the panel physician who carried out your initial medical exam. If CIC needs to to go through additional tests they will definitely contact you via email. I see no point contacting them.

Thank you very much. The panel physician said nothing, they have been extremely callous and apathetic about the situation. They could have got this corrected in February itself, when I approached them. But they finally told me only in April.
