Which month ?ppl getting bil and pcc request in bulks!!
What are you waiting for ?I’m patiently waiting for the username @hinhaj to receive his own request so we throw a party on this thread.
Ppl submitted in 2025 are progressing at same time regardless of monthWhich month ?
I haven't received mine. Submitted in May 2025ppl getting bil and pcc request in bulks!!
Ah oki its make senseLol yup, I’m guessing I was supposed to receive it a while back, in November 2025 cause they reached out to me asking me to fix some missing information on a form which I fixed and submitted the next day, and when they did respond back in April 2026 I got my AOR. The messed up form delayed my AOR by months it seemed. But anyways after AOR everything started to speed up, got BIL and everything changed from not started to in progress expected security.
Your wife needs to provide a police certificate. It is required. She is NOT a protected person, you’re the convention refugee.Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to get some clarity on how to respond to the document submission checklist request we recently received. I've been hearing mixed opinions, and I want to make sure I'm handling it correctly.
One point of confusion is whether this request includes a police certificate from my spouse's home country. Some friends have suggested that it does, but I don’t believe that's the case. The letter clearly states:
"This letter refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada under the Protected Persons class. … This request applies to you and any family members included in your application, who have Convention Refugee or Protected Person status in Canada. Note: If applicable, a similar request will be sent to your family members who are included in your application who do not have status as a Convention Refugee or a Protected Person in Canada."
Based on this, my understanding is that since my spouse does not hold Convention Refugee or Protected Person status, this specific request does not apply to her unless she receives a separate one. Could anyone confirm if this interpretation is correct?
Additionally, I’m wondering whether I should resubmit any documents if I have traveled since the initial submission, as my personal details may have changed. Would that be necessary or advisable?
I would really appreciate any guidance or experiences you can share.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks for your input! I appreciate you sharing your experience.Your wife needs to provide a police certificate. It is required. She is NOT a protected person, you’re the convention refugee.
If you have traveled since you got your RTD you should include the dates and location you went through. I’ve also traveled and included the dates in my form. No issues. Currently waiting for my Ecopr. Good luck!
Then you’re right. They want you to get a police certificate. I don’t know what your claim is based on because normally you’re not meant to provide report from a country you are facing persecution. What I’ve seen people do is provide a letter stating why they can’t get the police certificate. You might want to ask your lawyer if you have one. I wasn’t asked for one because of risk of persecution from my country. But my dependents outside have been asked to provide theirs. Thanks for your input! I appreciate you sharing your experience.
Just to clarify… my spouse and children are still residing abroad and are included as dependents, but they do not have Protected Person status themselves. The current document request I received specifically says it applies only to family members who have Convention Refugee or Protected Person status in Canada.
Because of that, I’m interpreting it as not applying to my spouse at this stage. I understand she will eventually need a police certificate, but I’m planning to wait until IRCC sends a separate request that explicitly asks for documents from dependents abroad.
I’ll definitely update my travel history as you suggested. that part is clear. Thanks again and good luck with your eCOPR!
