Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to get some clarity on how to respond to the document submission checklist request we recently received. I've been hearing mixed opinions, and I want to make sure I'm handling it correctly.
One point of confusion is whether this request includes a police certificate from my spouse's home country. Some friends have suggested that it does, but I don’t believe that's the case. The letter clearly states:
"This letter refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada under the Protected Persons class. … This request applies to you and any family members included in your application, who have Convention Refugee or Protected Person status in Canada. Note: If applicable, a similar request will be sent to your family members who are included in your application who do not have status as a Convention Refugee or a Protected Person in Canada."
Based on this, my understanding is that since my spouse does not hold Convention Refugee or Protected Person status, this specific request does not apply to her unless she receives a separate one. Could anyone confirm if this interpretation is correct?
Additionally, I’m wondering whether I should resubmit any documents if I have traveled since the initial submission, as my personal details may have changed. Would that be necessary or advisable?
I would really appreciate any guidance or experiences you can share.
Thanks in advance!
