Congratulations! If you don't mind, what is your background in Canada (when did you move here and were you a worker/student, etc)?

I arrived in Mexico in june of 2024 and then crossed into Alberta via the United States, I will not disclose how I did that. So I came to Canada without any legal status. I did not claim asylum and made it my intention to do this H&C.

Given the job market I would not leave a job unless you have secured one in another province. The cost of housing is also much lower in Quebec than in many parts of Canada so that also needs to be considered. In some parts of Canada the vacancy rates are also very low so securing housing can be difficult. Although you may be able secure PR faster you also have to consider non-PR/protected issues when considering a move.
There are labour shortages in some food manufacturing and agriculture occupation they are hiring every week!!!

I asked this in reference to changing province from Quebec to another. Will there be any issues in getting Healthcard.

Unless you specify what status they have/immigration history it is impossible to answer. The status of their spouse or common law partner is also important to be able to answer.

Not everyone is able or willing to work in food processing which tends to be a very labour intensive job with a high injury rate especially in meat processing. Pay and cost of living in both of the locations also need to be a consideration. The large food processing plants that are typically always hiring (some are seasonal jobs) are not located in every city.

There must be more to your case because your processing time alone is extremely unusual.

I think the government of Canada is just benevolent towards us sikhs and understand out struggle with the hindu oppression. I urge all Sikhs on those forum to file an h&c application immediately if you are struggling to obtain your pr.

There are others who have been denied both asylum and H&C for the exact same reason so it does not guarantee approval. Your case is very unusual for a variety of reason from processing time, being approved even though you are a recent arrival or working age, etc. There is either a lot more to your application or you got extremely lucky.

Fellow Sikhs do not let this member scare you off. Canada belong to you and to us Punjabis. Apply in the H&C stream and you will be approved very quickly

How admins/mods think this isn't a troll account is beyond me? The user hasn't answered any question asked by @canuck78 and has only tried to post rage-bait so far. I don't know if my comment will be removed, but NO ONE thinks this way and I can appeal to every H&C applicant to see if they'd ever think that "Canada belongs to their sub-ethnicity". It is tiring to point these obvious things out, because:
1. we end up making admin/mod's job harder
2. we don't know if we should voice us here and balance things in case unchecked hate harms someone in the long run

Mods, if you are going to delete my comment - might as well run a query on this user's location, IP, browser type, etc on your server logs and see if our troll is back and delete this account. This forum needs better moderation if we are to take anything seriously.

Canada belongs to us Punjabis. The numbers speak for themselves. White people go back to Europe and the Middle East.

The number may have increased since 2021 but it can be majority nor belonging to you.
