Hi,

I am looking for an advice from you all.My AOR is Nov 25 under CEC EE.I have applied through representative,I haven’t heard anything about my application after that.I am really worried, I cannot access tracker as well.Is there any safe way to get the status update because I am worried if it will hamper the processing. I am getting really stressed out about the same. Please help if you have any idea.
Hello,

in the CEC November 2023 AOR group we are nearly all in the same place: the first update with BIL or medical seems to happen at 3 months mark or even a bit later ( I am AOR November 20 and have not received any update yet either). You cannot access tracker probably because your file is still in the queue and your UCI has not changed to the permanent one that you can use with the tracker). Reach out to your representative first but I would not be surprised if nothing has happened yet. I think you can also still call IRCC.

Thank you so much for helping me understand it better. Now reading more about it. Uselessly I became happy that eligibility is cleared which means yay they are satisfied with my work history etc ‍♀

So in reality everything is evaluated in Background check and eligibility just means that I have submitted the correct application. Sigh. Long way to go
I think senior members such as @iSaidGoodDay have pointed out that its rare for them to look at your work experience again once you passed eligibility. I think there are always exceptions but I would say passing eligibility is still a milestone for what it's worth. If you didn't get an ADR after passing eligibility for a long time, perhaps you're on the right track. Keep on hoping and praying in the meanwhile. :D

Yes!!! One can always hope! I am also praying for the same that Eligibility pass means they are satisfied with all the documents I submitted and now just wait for medicals and background to be cleared! :D

We have also applied through representative. We could open account on ircc tracker. Representative has access in the GCKEY main account. But to open account in ircc tracker you'll need an otp which will be sent to your representative.

My friend who is a December AOR his application got rejected for police clearance certificate not being up to date is there anyway this could be appealed? Why didn't they just ask for a new one instead of straight rejecting. Has anyone seen this before???
For Few countries like Australia they need driving extracts too along with certain type of PCC. I dont think appeal is an option, just create new EE profile and wait for invite.

Not sure where you read it. But Background check and eligibility are two different things. Your admissibility under IRPA gets assessed with background check. However, your entire application is subjected to a reassessment if the final approving officer feels otherwise - this is uncommon though.

If they cleared your eligibility the case processing officer feels convinced about your work exp, education, etc. For most people, unless they actually misrepresented, there's no reason to worry about eligibility. It is very very hard for IRCC to reject applications who were truthful in their application. It should help you put a perspective on how helpful the system is for genuine applicants.

Look at the point #2 here: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/november-2023-aor.826001/post-10658672

I wrote that comment because I've seen way too many people get rejected because of PCC issues. IRCC takes it very seriously and unless they made a mistake - an appeal is unlikely to help.

It looks like CEC, at least November, is really slow compared to other categories. I see that some FSW already got PPR where CEC did not even get BIL with same AOR.

I must have misunderstood the explanation as someone mentioned that background is where criminality, work experience and education is checked. My previous understanding seems correct that Eligibility has been cleared which I'm assuming entails work experience etc. Glad for that. Now will wait for background :)

I called the ircc today again i asked specifically for security check and the agent told me that it has not started and everything else is completed, would it raise any alarm if i asked about security ? Or is it a normal question that everyone asks ?
