TCF is pretty hard, I don't know about TEF. I personally found it tougher than DELF B2. You can crack the writing part maybe by memorizing phrases and vocabulary but for listening, reading and speaking, you do need to have a good level already.

Yeah. One of the main reasons I learned French and finished my Masters overseas was because I believed that the Canadian point based system was fair compared to Europe. In EU, you need sponsorship, wait for 5 years and then apply for PR. Mind you, most people study there as well for a few years...

It wouldn't be of help because I applied under Express Entry. Spousal sponsorships take a longer period. But I applied at the end of October and got PPR on Feb 16.

PPR 16th Feb Submitted 20th Feb Under process at IRCC 21st Feb.

It was visible during PPR so no changes there. But no counterfoil no. or anything like that.
