I was live in caregiver before and now holding open work permit though LCP. My work permit is till 2016 but my work visa is going to expire next year. Can I renew my work visa within Canada? Thank you for reading and appreciate if anyone can reply this topic.

I think if you extend your visa and apply on line, usually takes one month then you will received it. But owp at least need to wait 3 months to get it. Your new visa may give you one more year but your owp will go with your passport expire date.

I wonder if our OWP expire before our PR, do we just renew it without LMO?

Why do I need to do that? Is that important? Just wondering. My total hour are 4000 and in 23 months. Because mI didn't work out with my second employer so I tried to apply my PR and owp.

Hi winska28 Did you apply through 24months or 3900hours? CIC received my application on October 24,2012 and I received my knowledge letter on December 24. I check online and no any further news yet.

If you qualified to apply your OWP and PR, don't forget to apply EI too.
