Hi all, FSW-O here. Got my eCOPR recently (AOR Aug 2020). Expiry date is early next year, so gotta travel there before then to get my pr card. Can anyone confirm that I can actually work/get employed in Canada while I wait for my pr card?
Can you please share your VO and COR? Also, did you receive a re-medical request from IRCC or did you do an upfront medical? Thank you!

Congrats on your COPR. My understanding is that you are able to work before you receive your PR card. You can use the documents you receive when completing your landing to get a SIN, with which you can start work. I don't believe you can start work before getting a SIN though.

I did my upfront medical exam on 18th Jan and got updated on 23rd Feb, but they updated in wrong application.
They updated in Visitor visa application which requires no medical exam and didn't update on PR application,
does this mean anything ? and how can I get this updated on my PR application because webforms aren't any help.

It expired on Aug 6th, 2021. I waited for a re-medical for over 6 months but never received a request, so just decided to do an upfront. Keeping my fingers crossed now!
Did you got to know about your medicals being expired via GCMS notes?

Aug 2020 AOR, Ottawa VO & FSW-O
Hi Ambee, could you send a format of the webform raised when you did the upfront? I did upfront yesterday, I want to update it now. but not sure what to write in the webform and email to Ottawa VO. My AOR - Aug 17, 2020. GCMS as at July 2021 Eligibility Passed, Criminality Not Started, Security Not Started. Primary VO: Ottawa. Secondary: CIO

From looking at the Outlander PPR thread, it appears a significant number of recent PPRs were received by applicants who did upfront remeds. There is a note on my GCMS notes stating that my medicals are to be extended, however they are not updated on my application.

Does anyone have an opinion if it would be worth doing upfront remeds anyway, just to get someone to pick up my application and hopefully move it along?

My theory is that upfront remeds mean the application needs to be "picked up" and updated in response to the webform, and these applications seem to get PPR shortly thereafter. Not sure if I am clutching at straws here or if this is worthwhile :)
