@legalfalcon Sorry again for asking,

If I am from a visa exempt country (France) do I need to send the passport to VFS?? or I get my copr by email? If so my wife became a french citizen recently too but we applied with her passport of country of origin should I update that info in order send passports to vfs? Thank you again
When your application is approved you will be sent an email with the instructions which will list if you have to submit your passport and if so, how.

If an applicant has become a citizen of another country, you have to inform IRCC and update IRCC with the proof of citizenship as well as provide the new passport if the old one cannot be used.

@legalfalcon good morning, hope you are doing well.

I apologies in advance for the complicated question but I wanted to know if it is possible.

I am planning to be in Montreal between Jan 22 and feb 6 as I have exams to pass for the canadian dental boards. I chose Montreal because my brother lives there and it was the only place i could register. I am doing the remeds for me and my family on the 3rd of Jan. The PR could be coming a few weeks later so I was wondering:

1- Can I go to Canada even though I am not doing my landing in Montreal because I am an express entry applicant and how to handle the PR coming in before the date of entry? Can I still go in because I would had already paid my tickets? The main problem is sending passports to vfs in not getting them back on time to travel as I am doing medicals jan 3rd and traveling jan 22. Is it possible to get the PR travel to Montreal nt do the landing and then go by car to a point of entry in Ontario to do my landing?

2- What if I get the PR between the 22nd and 6th of feb? Can i still do the landing via a point of entry by car in Ontario?

3- Shall we just go to canada with or without the PR not do the landing and that travel again a second time to do the landing? which would be very complicated.

In all cases I would be leaving again on feb 6th and we will move back to Canada during the summer.

thank you in advance for your time and answer.
If you have a visa or if you are from a visa-exempt country, you can travel to Canada. Further, there is no such rule that you cannot land in Quebec or Montreal. As a FSW, all the law states is that you cannot have an intent to reside in Quebec unless you are nominated by QC.

So would it be possible to do my soft landing in Quebec if I would be staying only for two weeks and then leaving Canada again?

There is nothing as a soft or hard landing. When you show up at the port of entry you are examined. IF you have a COPR, you will be admitted into Canada and will become a PR effective that date. When you are examined, the officer will ask your city of destination to ensure that you do not intend to reside in QC.

After you are admitted as a PR, you can stay in Canada for a second, a few days or a few months. That is your choice. As long as you meet the residency obligation, you will be fine.

@legalfalcon

Happy New year !

i need to clarify something, i am FSW O - COR_ SRI LANKA, AOR 2020-Jan, got the re med request today. 3 Candidates Primary , Spouse and 2 year old Kid.

Spouse has relocated to Middle east for work , IRCC informed already, Primary candidate and Kid moved to Middle east for a vacation of one month, IRCC was not informed of this

my question is, - can Primary , secondary , and Kid can do the medical in the country of residence at present (middle east) or Primary candidate and Kid has to travel back to Sri Lanka to do the medicals in they have not informed IRCC about their vacation ?

ideally i want to do the medicals in middle east since the family is here for a month, if not they have to cancel the vacation plan and go back to Sri Lanka for medicals.

thank you in advance.

Hello @legalfalcon and all,

Compliments of the season. I just got a request to fill the IMM 5669 form. The question is, how should I fill up my education? On my express entry application, in the education section, I only filled my Master’s degree, since that’s what I have had my ECA done on (being my highest level of education).

However, the IMM 5669 form is asking for the full details of all my secondary and post-secondary education. Do I fill just my Master's degree on my ECA only OR fill in my BSc degree as well?

Kindly advice.
