The best thing you can do is get the Citizenship and move back to the US on TN visa. One of the US clients I worked for had a bunch of Canadians working for them in the US.
Yeah that is my plan, but first thing first I need my application to be processed and it is some where in that ocean of 550000 applications ,as you said earlier we don't know what that irresponsible pricks are going to do with that.
Once I get my citizenship I am done with Canada. My Indian passport is a pain in the ass .I have to change that ,that is the reason why I applied Canada in the first place.

Did any of you guys try contacting IRCC for updates recently? Are they still hiding behind Afghan crisis or are they answering your questions?
Yep. I've recently sent a tech issue ticket and a webform, both of which received the auto-Afghan reply.

Hi Guys,
I just received my GCMS notes. Strange thing is that the change of mailing address that I requested 10 months ago has not been updated..
Is it normal?? Has it happened with anyone before ??

I also read that you can apply for green card on Canadian citizenship but you will need to move back to Canada until the application is approved. Not sure if us Indians can do this because the country quota is based on country of origin right?

Yes it is based on your country of birth.so I can't apply for GC even if I get citizenship in Canada.

The general attitude of the country towards newcomers is that once a newcomer lands in Canada, he/she becomes a part of the country. There is racism over here but so what? Racism exists everywhere. It isn't exclusive to Canada. The country as a whole, is open and welcoming regardless of its flaws and problems. Also, most of us who immigrate to Canada, do so to become part of Canadian society. While we do not forget our roots, we are expected to integrate and not bring problems of our home country along with us. I was actually agreeing with Mr. Kangaroo. Don't come over here. There are better options. Let those of us, who are already over here, fix our country and housing crisis first.
Yeah bro, you are like totally Canadian, we get it.

Atleast we can work indefinitely as long as we have a job offer right?
Indefinitely is not the correct word. Your H1B visa is for 3 years and you can keep on extending for 3 years as long as your I140 is approved. Every extension, amendment is like a new H1B you need to submit ton of documentation and there is no guarantee your extension/amendment gets approved despite providing all necessary documentation. So you would need a strong client with a long term project.
