Thanks for the response.I don't know if this comment will calm others down a bit or rather just not stress when you receive that message. So I always thought the vfs holds the passports and creating the long wait. Vfs Accra, don't really hold passports as the courier services such as DHL, have a daily pickup of passports from their office. This only means that the courier services are prolly the ones hoarding the passports till they receive a specific bulk quantity before set off to lagos. So between the time your passport is with DHL till vfs lagos/delivery directly to you, there is lack of info. Because surely vfs notify us once a specific file is in their location.
I actually sent mine through VFS Abuja. I not actually worried that I haven’t gotten the passport back and I already have it at the back of my mind that it takes 5-6 weeks.
What concerns me is that I learnt they normally send another acknowledgment mail after the one I mentioned earlier stating that the passport has been received at the Embassy (correct me if I’m wrong). If I haven’t gotten that mail till now doesn’t it mean that my passport is still sitting at the VAC in Accra and hasn’t been dispatched yet. Or that’s the only mail they send till the passport gets to Nigeria.
Cause I learnt the second mail is supposed to come after about 3-4 days from the first one.
That’s what’s getting me worked up.
