Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

Hi everyone

I got a new message in mycic and it says file will be transferred to New Delhi. Currently its with CPC-M since Jan 2020 when I got SA.
Parents are in Canada since Dec 2019 and are PR of Spain (Indian Citizens)
What could be the reason to send the file to New Delhi now after this long time.

SA - Jan 2020
Medicals passed/PCC providrd - Feb 2020
Medicals extended automatically - July 24, 2021
New line added in ecas: We started processing your application on Aug 19, 2021 (added on Aug 20th)

I am just trying to understand the reason for sending the file to country of citizenship now? Country of residence is Spain..
How long it may take at New Delhi now?

my file was also transferred from CPC-M to Singapore after my grandparents did second medical recently. I have informally heard that they are transferring applications to VOs with capacity as Canada is busy with the situation in Afghanistan

I remember there were many other users who got transferred to LVOs after everything was almost done at their ends, but i am not finding any posts so that we can get an idea about the timeline after this transfer.

Hey guys, quick question, I am waiting for my moms passport call rest all things done. We redid the medicals in July this year as it got expired last year. So it's only passport call left I am guessing. I booked my moms flight for Nov first week , she has multiple entry Visa. So do I need to do any formality in terms of her coming on visitors visa? I know the health regulations part. I need to know when she comes here I should inform ircc of her being here? What else I need to do? She lives in delhi so what if she gets a passport request while she's here, can she send it to Ottawa instead for stamping? Does she need pcc or anything to re-enter? She last visited me in 2018 for the first time. Thank you in advance.

Also i had update my mailing address here in Canada on ecas back in July when my mom got her second medical request. It's still not updated and showing my old address. That's probably normal as I had to email them mine and my mom's address via email when they had sent out second medical request.

The very first thing you will have to do is, update her address using webform once she is here.
If she gets passport request when she is here in Canada, you will have to inform IRCC and they will arrange virtual landing (new system due to covid that replaces passport stamping and flagpoling).
She would not need PCC to re-enter.
In case she gets a second PCC request (i.e. the one you already sent is expired, they usually don’t ask second pcc but few people got this request) you can get the new one done from BLS/Indian Consulate, its simple and fairly fast process.

If your mom comes here in visitor visa, there will be virtual landing when she receives PPR. No need to send passport to

You may receive your mother's IME request within few days. You can book appointment with panel of physician for both of them in a week or so.
This has happened to few other applicants.

Is Biometrics the last step or are there other formality after that? How long does it usually take to get approval for PR after biometrics?

This process has been so long and slow. Hope it comes to an end soon.

Hello everyone.

I'd like to first poitn out that this is an amazing forum and I've been on it since my PR process, about 10 years. Glad to see it's still up and being used and so many more people to assist.

After getting a PR and the citizenship my wife and I are now sponsoring her mother under the parent class. My understanding of the process is old as when we got our PPC request for PR, we got approved in a month after submitting the PPC. Is that still the case of have processing times changed? Anyone who applied in 2019 got their PR?

We got our request for Biometrics and Medicals together, July 2021. After submission we got a request for PCCs which we submitted today. Now we wait.

And request for Biometrics in June 2021.

No news after that.
