I don't know where you are from but atleast from my experience in US no company is going to hire you if you don't have skill even if you are a Harvard graduate. That is not an obsession that is a requirement, I have heard from my acquaintances in canada that if you don't have Canadian experience it is very difficult to get a job ,imagine a case at that time if you don't have skill also I don't think that will go very well.
About YouTube I dont care whether you guys bash or downvote any youtuber ,I am not affiliated with any but think logically is it better to waste your time on a 2 hr video and bashing them or not watching it? It is your choice.
It's not that tough dude. And of course, it depends upon your field. Someone in tech may end up getting offers even before they do the landing. If you've got a PR, you will eventually get a job as well.

And I don't know why you think a guy from Harvard will not be hired. Education credentials carry a lot of weight.

A guy from Harvard will obviously have skills but I have seen atleast engineers who refused to learn anything new and resisting change finally to get laid off.
That is what I meant. I know some guys with great gpas from good universities who are total idiot. In normal circumstances what you said is right.

Following on the marriage question, I’m an fsw-o with AOR October 2020, what’s the best time for me to get married? Before I get my ppr? After I land in Canada? In between?

I appreciate your advice ladies and gentlemen.
You can add your spouse now and nothing will happen and your application won’t be delayed either. You the principal applicants and, as long as your spouse isn’t adding or contributing points their background check won’t take that long. They will concentrate on the principal applicant mostly. Your scores won’t be recalculated, because it’s locked after AOR. In a nutshell Mr/Miss, go and marry please, because your waiting has no definite end. Why keep your life and spouse on hold?

I just had to say goodbye to a long-distance love interest based in the USA since I don't know when I will be able to go to Canada and she can't come to me because of her commitments as a doctor. It's for the best I guess.
Sorry bro. In no distant future, you will land canada. Let’s hope between now and then, she won’t find a permanent replacement. Take all in good fate and move on. Easier said than done, but hey! I still have to encourage you tho.

I do have options to move to Europe long-term but the type of visa I'm aiming for is out of bounds due to Covid restrictions. Study route isn't an option as I'm extremely busy with my job and business. Maybe I'll look to move to some South American country like Columbia or Chile if nothing works.
Thing is that a lot of my future plans were dependent on me moving to Canada. If it doesn't happen, it's going to be very difficult to change the course of my life. I'm trying to slowly move on from this and preparing myself for life without living in Canada.
I'm trying to move on too. I should probably move back to Korea and drink soju every night until I pass out.
PPR will come eventually, but the chance of coming late is too high for me to just wait.

If the PPR rain comes early 2022, there will probably be 15% - 25% that are not going to be issued right away. Even before covid, the processing time distribution had a long tail.

Already tried South America, so I will pass this time.

Many have been waiting for years to get PPR.
Pre-Covid wait times averaged at 9 months.

I do believe wait times will improve next year, but I don't think it will go below 9 months... for outlanders.
Thanks for your answer, I do have Canadian tourist Visa, does that makes any difference If I apply while I'm in Canada? Because here in Australia it makes massive difference!

If you receive COPR and it’s still valid, and you don’t travel until you get married, I Think they will reopen your case and request docs from your spouse.
Thanks, so there will be no issues it's just I have to let them know asap :)

You're so off base with your angry ranting. He's not staunchly pro CEC or anti FSW and he consistently tries to remain neutral and factual to the best of his ability. There were people asking him if CEC will ever drop to 300-350, and he said no, he doesn't think that'll happen again. He said he doesn't think TR to PR will become permanent, because it only made sense in the context of the pandemic. I went and watched his previous streams after you started your childish 'let's downvote him' crap, and he's never said anything against FSW. He's called out the entitlement from both CECs and FSWs. And at the same time, he has tried to call out IRCC on their lack of transparency (as he also does in the very screenshot you posted).

He didn't come after you 'Bruh'. You guys went after him by downvoting becasue he doesn't reflect your own emotions. I don't particularly care for him or Holthe, but you guys are the ones in the wrong here. He's done nothing but try to remain rational.

Kinda expected meaningless rambling from lc4life, but I always thought dankboi was just a chill dude memeing around. So this is kinda disappointing lol

The world has moved on. Pseudo first world countries like Aus and Canada may decide to live in a non-existent pandemic forever for all I care.
wtf are you talking about? Alberta decided to abandon all precautions a few months ago, and their hospitals are overrun. Doctors are having to decide who lives and who dies because they don't have the space or the manpower to handle it. Elective surgeries are indefinitely on hold throughout the country to make room for the overwhelming number of covid patients. The disease is far from over. Just because we're desensitized to the large number of people dropping dead everyday doesn't mean the pandemic is over.

While the pandemic isn’t over, it is surely looking like a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Both Sasketchwan and Alberta have the lowest vaccination rates in Canada and unfortunately that’s showing up in terms of spiking cases, hospitalizations and deaths. Alberta’s first dose vaccination numbers have gone up again only recently I believe due to the vaccine passport program. But it will take some time to build that immunity.

In contrast, while Ontario had a spike in cases, it was smaller than the previous waves and the cases are on a downward trend now. Moreover they are also around 81% fully vaccinated in the target group.

And? Is there a point to what you said? I know the virus is more likely to affect unvaccinated people. But there is a large percentage of people who aren't eligible for a vaccine (< 12 yr olds) and many who are morons. All of this is an opportunity for the virus to continue to mutate and for the emergence of a vaccine resistant strain.

I'm not here to talk semantics about virus and play epidemiologist for the day. The point here is that this assertion that the pandemic is over is idiotic. Criticize Canada's illogical approach to the pandemic (wrt immigration) all you want. But saying stupid shit like 'the pandemic is over' is insane. (I know you're not the one who said that. Just that what you're saying is unrelated to what he said or my response to him and I don't see the point of bringing it up)
