anyone else having long security check processing time? I ordered my GCMS notes and it says my application is Approved, however, security is still blank. My application is approved on 1st April 2020, since then, assuming security started right after that, there has been no update to this date. So is there anyone with similar case? I heard 110 days are enough for security screening.

if the Final: Approved is there in page 2; it signifies final decision has been made on your file and it is approved. All the assessments including security is completed. Security status is redacted due to IRCC protocols.

Yes, Final says approved in assessments on page 2. Thanks and yeah I see only blank space in security so not sure if it is redacted or a sign of start, but what does that mean then? why PR is not issued then if final decision is approved? if you have any logical reason of that... It has been almost 6 months after it is approved according to gcms notes.

Final approved means your file has been approved. No further ifs or buts- all assessments done(yes security as well). They would've issued you COPR/Counterfoil(PR Visa) if there was no border restrictions(CBSA requested IRCC to stop sending PPRs to outlanders sometime early 2021). If you dig deeper into your GCMS notes you will see COPR/Counterfoil details generated. I'm assuming you're an Outlander or you have an Outland Dependent. Had you been CEC inland, you would get PR portal request almost as soon as Final Decision is made on your file.

However, your medicals must have expired by now, so they'll have to reopen your file, reassess medicals(extend or ask for a remedical) then RE-APPROVE your file. Then you'll get the PPR/COPR.

As for when they would do that: we don't know. But they are planning on completing contacting all the expired COPRs by 31 Oct 2021. Perhaps after that they'll look into your file.

Thank you for the detailed answer. I do see Document: Counterfoil / vignette under document issuance and its status is "Not Started" does that mean they haven't issued it at all? Yes I am a CEC candidate but not in Canada.

Is it true that IRCC is working on 2021 cases first, and not 2020? It's giving me anxiety now
when it comes to processing inland applications are in priority(also mentioned in IRCC website). there aren't many 2021 fsw-outland applicants anyway since the last all program draw happened in late 2020.

As regards to other outlanders, it is easier for IRCC to finalize 2021 applications as they are more likely to have valid documents(medicals/PCC). most of the 2020 AORs have their medicals expired by now.

they haven't printed/issued it since they can't ask you to submit your passport. hope they get to the expired COPRs fast enough so that you like countless others can get the PPR and make their Canadian dream come true.
