i agree. That’s exactly it. Isn’t the point of this all in the end for married couples to be together. I can understand the frustration. My case is Outland and sucks to be away from my wife. If she was inland I could careless how long they take as long as we are in one place. Hopefully they speed up all cases.
That’s very true. I think most of us with inland applications are mainly frustrated at having to wait so long for the OWP. Some of us don’t have that and are here without being able to work which is less than ideal. So yeah hopefully things will start to move soon.

I don’t blame you guys. Their lack of urgency is ridiculous. I can understand if there are some issues with the sponsors ability to support or something suspect in some cases. But you cannot live without your spouse doesn’t matter inland or Outland. They need to at least communicate better so people know what’s going on. Everyone on this forum including myself guesses based on the progress of others.

Not to mention that if they return your file, you can loose your implied status so you could end up without a legal status T_T

I don’t think they realize the level of stress we’re experiencing to be honest. However I wouldn’t worry too much about that. If something was wrong they would’ve returned it already. I know someone who sent their application in March this year as well and it was returned due to missing docs back in June. But I know staying positive can be very difficult. Plus all we’re asking is to be able to work and it’s insane that they’re making it so challenging…

Let's be positive! I heard some march applicants have got the biometric reminder without AOR and successfully linked the application two days ago.

Hi everyone,

Our case is quite different. I applied for PR with non-accompanying dependents (wife & daughter) in May 2019. Got a job offer with my employer in August 2019 and they processed Closed WP for myself, Open WP & visitor for wife & daughter. given it's a new country Landed first in Sept 2019 thinking will set things up and get my family here. unfortunately Covid kicked in 6 months. However, my PR was approved in Feb. 2021 and I changed my status. I finally got my family in March 2021, but my wife only got a visitor status as her original circumstances has now changed and not a spouse of skilled worker. We've applied for PR sponsorship + Open WP + visitor status extension only on Aug 5, 2021. Our query as follows,

1 - How long does it take for Open WP approval these days while he PR is in process? Can she look for job and accept an offer as she's in visitor status now? as she's getting many calls for interview.

Thanks in advance for your inputs and thoughts.

I also applied inland in March and am leaving for a couple of weeks to go back home for medical reasons (my application hasn’t started processing yet). I know that if it’s a matter of 2/3 weeks it should be okay but I think they will issue a new visitor visa at the airport. I don’t think you necessarily have to stay 6 months away especially if you have ties to Canada such as a spouse and live with them and you can prove that.

Hi all, I'm a February applicant, but the Feb thread seems to have no active people in it. I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything about their applications. I haven't been able to get any info, besides that they have received my application and I have a temp AOR. Each time they say they have my application, but haven't started it. I have reach out to a caseworker who has been in contact with them, but gets the same response, and has recommended that I send her job openings that I am qualified for. My priority is my OWP, but without them even opening my packet yet, I'm looking at next year to get one.... Any info would be greatly appreciated! Or like anything to let me know that they are still progressing..

Hey, check the spreadsheet and there's a whatsapp group you can join. Feb applicants are receiving AOR now. Spreadsheet is on the first page of this thread, check Feb inland 2021 and the link should be at the bottom of the page

Hi,
I have been sponsored by my wife and I applied for both PR and OWP in March.
my current status is visitor, my first entry to Canada was 18 of November 2020. in April I applied for a visitor record and I got it yesterday. In the visitor record, it is mentioned that I must leave Canada by 18 November 2021. It is quite probable that by November I will not get the OWP. My question is that can I apply for another extension? to stay in Canada until my OWP will be decided.
Thank you

Just received my wife's AOR this morning!!
Our application was received on March 4.
How do we link the application to her CIC online account?
We've tried a few times but it keeps saying it couldn't find it. Are we doing something wrong or does it take a while until you can link it?
Thanks!

we got ours yesterday too. I had 4 goes at doing it before it accepted. I opted for family name and application. Reviewing threads here you must include the sponsor in the number of applicants (last box). One person advises to try 2 times a day. I know, its piss poor.
