Yes, I have the perfect solution for you, download fongo or textnow, and they'll give you a virtual Canadian number that you can use to contact IRCC. I like TextNow more than Fongo

Skype works too. I don't know how it works with calls but with the webforms at least I know they say only to contact for status if your application is past the 6 months standard processing time, you are just June 2021 AOR, right @mdqueen?

Awesome, thank you! I just tried to call through Skype but I got the message "this call could not be completed". Will try with those apps!

Might have to pay with Skype, idk, but yeah try TextNow now and get a 647 number, then contact them at their local time, so Toronto local time works!

Yeah, I was just curious to see what stage I have passed. I know I am still at the very beggining but seems that IRCC is working randomly with their files so maybe I could have an update on something.. I am looking to go to canada as a tourist by the end of october and wait there for my PR but first I would like to know how slow is my file going to see how long would I have to wait haha!

If they don't give you much info over the phone, apply for GCMS notes, it is really cool to see all the details and then you should know a lot about the status!

There's no way to determine how quickly any single file will be processed. Pre-pandemic the average for CEC was 6-8 months. Some could be faster of course, and some longer. Post-Pandemic, who knows?

During the pandemic most were taking about 10 months. Some inland applicants invited in the CRS 75 draw were being processed in 2 months.

This is great news, congrats! my Friend from France recently got his copr too so maybe for outland things are moving now! One question, does anyone know if people from all countries go through the PPR step or just countries that require a visa to enter Canada? I am from the UK and we have the whole visa waiver thing in place so would this mean I would skip the PPR step?
PPR is a stage for those not from visa-exempt countries.

Can see the full list here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/entry-requirements-country.html

I've read some things where people say that the reason these CRS 75 people were processed so quickly was because the points threshold was so low that there weren't the same number of checks that had to be made as there are for an applicant that was claiming points across multiple criteria, so I guess that was a special case? There is also the TR to PR route which seems to be getting fast-tracked too.

Hey everyone, Just an update: I received PPR in my account today.
AOR - July 2020 | CEC Outland.
I so wish you all get them as quickly as possible.
I didn't think I would say this, but now another waiting game commences. I guess you are never really relieved until you land in Canada and reunite with your loved ones. But happy to report this development, and I hope the same for you all! :)

Hey Congratulations on getting the golden mail :) . I remember you said a few days ago you got an email asking for your details and if you were inland or outland. Did you get that mail directly on the cic portal or was that in your personal email. The reason I am asking is that Its been a while that I no longer have access to my email. I have emailed IRCC to update my email but they haven't replied. I am worried if they tried contacting me on the old email address :(

Pretty much. For inland CEC invited via the CRS 75 draw an applicant just needs to have the minimum language requirement and 1 year Canadian Experience to qualify for CEC stream. No education assessment, work history etc are required. Once the security and medical are passed an inland applicant can be approved.

I piggybacked on that draw - myself and my partner had a score of 200 CRS. Originally 480, but due to the low score requirements we deleted all of our education history and only put in our language results as we figured it would process faster.

It's not gonna... bite us in the ass due to being outland, right?
