CEC (Outland) can we change Proof of funds amount from 5k to 10K post ITA :

Hey everyone! Quick question for those who have gone through the Express Entry process.

I received my ITA under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) - Outland.

My issue: In my initial EE profile, I entered $5,000 CAD in the funds section.

My worry: Now that I am filling out the post-ITA form, I feel $5k looks way too low.

My plan: I want to upload a Letter of Explanation (LOE) stating that I am exempt from Proof of Funds (POF).

Should I:

1. Leave it at $5,000 CAD and attach the LOE?

2. Change it to $10,000 CAD in the post-ITA form and attach the LOE?

Does changing the amount post-ITA cause any issues?

CEC is exempt from proof of funds, which you already know. So why are you complicating things?

If you really want, you can add a line in to your LOE (because I'd bet my bottom dollar you're doing one) stating that no proof of funds provided as you're applying under CEC.

Since you're applying under CEC, proof of funds is generally exempt if you meet the eligibility requirements. If that's the case, I'd avoid changing information that doesn't affect your eligibility unless it's necessary. A clear LOE explaining that you're exempt should be sufficient. I don't really see any benefit in increasing the amount after receiving your ITA if you aren't relying on those funds to qualify.
