May be they are holding off on things because they want the election to go well. They want no surprises. So even after Ban is lifted on us on June 21 they still want to restrict our entry.
After they win the re-election, they don't care what happens. Even if anything happens after the election. They can correct their image by the next election or people will just forget about it.
If nothing happens on Sep 7. The next date will be Sep 20. If nothing happens then we wait for the new/same Immigration minister to assume office and pass orders. It will be October by then. Then there will be holiday season. And then 2022 will roll by.

Might be something along the lines of this: "We have done a tremendous work despite the harsh reality of the pandemic in 2021 and gave people who contributed to Canada's specific needs a chance in obtaining permanency in Canada. 2021 showed us the flawed nature of the current economic immigration pathways, in which these hard working people would be deemed low-skilled. In reality we saw that these hard working temporary residents deserve permanency in Canada just as high-skilled candidates."

I didn't even play the "discrimination" card if you noticed. He could go on and on till FSW was dead. But yeah, quite unlikely if you ask me.

Lol, that won't make any sense, there are people with expertise they need to fill these market needs. They will tilt towards doing program specific draws than halt the process completely - going by what you suggested.
Nah like there were NOC quotas before and they could do like all program NOC draws, inviting specific NOCs at a time.

Seems politicians are the same across the globe
I want to immigrate so I can get out of all the damned political climate in my country and I'm sick of politics; but life does me one better and puts me right in front of another country's politics just out of the blue.

Ha Ha. Very funny life, very funny.

Like I read Canadian news, election news and such, then I go wait a minute I'm not even Canadian.

So the impact is if a specific NOC code is implemented in federal level, this will impact CEC as well, meaning that Canada will no longer be immigratable.

Also I don't see how specific NOC codes will help with Canada labor demand. For example, if someone with a healthcare NOC was drawn, but when the person gets in Canada, he decides to switch his career to be a tech worker due to higher pay. He's no longer in the previous industry. There will be limited benefits of implementing NOC based draws on the federal level. The province-level NOC draws are another issue though.

They literally cannot delay after Sept 7. This is because the election is due on Sep 20. If they declare another extension of border closure, liberal literally doesn't have anything to show for. How are they going to manage the impact on the election?
The debate is literally a day after the proposed border reopening day. Very unlikely they would extend the restrictions

It all depends on how much the government wants to f up the otherwise beautiful immigration system. In the quotes weren't my own views, but an immitation of the officials if they were to blame their failures on immigrants.

However, I must say a carefully designed NOC invitation system is actually probably better for the country because there really is something called Canadian market needs. I mean if there are too many servers why would you wanna invite more servers? But the previous NOC system was just dumb. Yeah let's select some NOCs and put some quotas on them; nah, that's dumb, that's not what I'm talking about.

Personally I’m not planing to practice in my NOC field when i get to Canada. NOC-specific draw will be a bad move. Plus it would put a huge risk in terms of meeting immigration target numbers

Can’t imagine learning German lol… I’m terrible at learning a new language. But if it comes to that I’m ready for the challenge

I'll get the human brain CPU Elon Musk sells, install German language pack on it via the nanochip inside the biontech vaccine, activate the license using the Starlink satellite internet, and curse in the traffic in German driving my Mercedes-Benz.

And then you wake from a slimy pod one day, Neo has come to rescue you but you realise that you need live underground for the rest of your life.
