Hello all,

I have received my OINP, All the best for all who are waiting.
I was filling my express entry profile. I have some questions regarding that :

I completed my studies in 2013. However I was also working full time along with my studies. So what should I show in my 10 years history as my studies and fulltime work was overlapping? any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
You should ideally show minimum 3 years of experience for the noc code for which you have received invite. I will personally suggest not to suggest any employment that goes with your fulltime studies.

Hi all,
Got NOI on 27 July. I have a few queries, if anyone can help

1. Can we edit/update any changes in EE profile after NOI from Ontario, as I have mistakenly swapped the job title in my 2 different jobs.
2. Can Cousin brother be included in ties to ONTARIO.
3. Does my Tourist Visa details mentioned and rejection make an impact on nomination from Ontario.

1. Yes, EE isn't locked until ITA. When you apply for OINP, you'll be asked to input your work history too, which you'll need to substantiate. Make sure you check OINP requirements for being approved in OINP under your stream. Looks like I was on the same one as you, so human priorities.
2. No idea sorry
3. You've been rejected for a tourist visa to Canada? Again I don't know about this.

2. yes you should. Also if you have any additional connection, however remote it seems, list them and elaborate.

3.If they don’t ask then no reason to mention it.

Hi Guys,

Super duper new here:

Below are my details:

Applied to EE in May 2021.
Got LOI from Ontario on 27th July 2021.
NOC code: 0601.
Current CRS Score: 457.

I have two options in front of me. Would need your suggestions on which one to go for.

Option 1:
I go ahead and submit my documents under PNP (pay CAD1500) and hope for a nomination and eventual PR.

Option 2:
My Fiancé is already in Canada and has submitted his documents under CEC roughly a month ago. CRS Score is around 435. I could wait for him to get his PR, get married in November and apply as a dependent and save the above CAD1500.

Which one should I opt for? Also, I would give a lot of weightage to timelines as we want to be together in Canada asap.

Thanks in advance!

Congrats on the OINP LOI. I know nothing about option 2, apart from it sounds a lot quicker than option 1. OINP could take 90 days (mine took 2 weeks, I got lucky), then waiting for a PNP draw (every two weeks), then current wait times for PR for outland applicants seems to be crazy, like 18 months rather than 6.

I'm in for a long ride.
