True, however if they would care just about the numbers they would keep CEC invites steady. I think they actually consider a cut-off as of now
Nah man; wrote this before, IRCC doesn't need to invite more CECs right now because they won't make it to 2021 anyway. I mean yes, in a way they do care about inviting candidates with scores as high as possible they look at targets first. Megadraw or those 6k serials were necessary because IRCC still had the risk of not making it this year; but since now they're kinda out of the woods, they've been turning the knob down on CEC invites because there's no point inviting under-qualified candidates for 2022.

So yeah the do care about CRS but they consider their targets first and choose their actions. Not the other way around imo.

But causation analysis indicates that student visa makes an holder spend more money without affecting delta variants while the relation between delta and student visa remains unclear. :"\
That analysis is what I hypothesized a few days ago, but some people didn't agree.

@ImpatientKangaroo Check this.
Many people are telling me the same thing. What else could be the reason for allowing students from India and other countries?

Not this again my guy, safely ignoring further discussion on this lol can't be going down that lane again. If you're so clear on FSW being dumped, which you appear to be, then pull the plug on your EE profile and start applying to schools. What do you want me to tell you? lol

I never implied that FSW is dumped permanently. I guess you took me wrong *sigh*
Anyway, we can let this go.

True, lets see what will happen. Maybe there will be some surprised draw etc. in August for FSW, it is really hard to predict what will happen from now on.

I believe people with AOR of 2018 or early 2019 had complex applications.
Yeah possibly, looking at his edit history notes now, it looks like he added a dependent, a while (2019?) after he got AOR it seems . That could've caused the complication

No stress dude we're gonna get them ITAs in a few weeks. FSW isn't going anywhere. Yeah it might experience some changes but it'll be there. Canada is not US or UK, the number of international students won't sky rocket if IRCC eliminates all outland routes. Canada is really only attractive to people who wanna immigrate because it has outland routes. The job market sucks, the distance is great, the climate mostly sucks, housing prices are insane, hell even auto and gas prices are ridiculous, the only reason many people choose Canada is because they can get the PR without setting foot on Canada.

Let me tell you this; if Germany or UK had an outland program I wouldn't even know a country named Canada existed.

If are trying to compare the cost of living, I would encourage you to come to Ireland :D House prices are nearly the same as the prices in Canada, food is expensive, bills are expensive :) cars are crazy expensive :) and fuel is crazy expensive is well. When you compare all that to Canada you will change your view hahaha :D

For example as of now price per 1L of unleaded petrol is 1.55EUR, Diesel is 1.45EUR per 1L. For example Toyota Corolla in Ireland cost around 25 000EUR, in Canada it is just 13 000/14 000 EUR. Wages in Canada are generally higher than in Ireland :D A house in Ireland for 500 000/600 000 Canadian Dollars is generally small :) and you have a lot higher taxes in UK or Ireland :D

You are right. You know what this was quite relieving to read.
I just hope Canada stops taking undue advantage of the pandemic and start with the draws soon!

It’s actually true that IRCC most importantly care about targets and this informs their decisions on the number of invites sent and this then translates to the cutoff score. Apparently they have been tapering down on CEC invitations since July 8. This gives us a hint.

One very likely inference i can draw from this is that they are close to meeting the targets for 2021. Subsequent draws from September would be more targeted towards 2022 immigration quota. It wouldn’t make sense to keep inviting only CEC guys because most of them would be finalized in 2022 and since they wouldn’t want most of next year’s invited candidates to be of low scoring profiles like this year’s (who wouldn’t want young, highly skilled, experienced and bilingual candidates as immigrants to meet next year’s quota), they would most probably start conducting the all program draws in the 4th quarter of this year to capture these juicy profiles

They will most likely bank on CEC and the outland applications that are already in the final stages (mainly category A and some B) to meet this year’s target; some of the applications that are close to being approved will also go into this year’s target while others will be finalized very early next year to help contribute to 2022 target. They could also start conducting CEC-only draws again from January 2022. Meanwhile those who get invited via the possible consecutive all program draws this year would be expected to land by the end of next year at the earliest.

Disclaimer: This is just a probable analysis

I'll still take UK over Canada because two major advantages: 1. UK has FAR better STEM job market 2. UK is FAR closer to the rest of the world so it's easier and cheaper to travel.

3. I love british girls.
