Hi there,
I have received a letter requesting medicals for my spouse's PR application (USA-based). We have submitted medicals without a letter two months back and we confirmed that medical results have been updated to my file. But now the file is with NYVO and we have received a letter from them for medicals.
In the website, they mentioned that """"You can’t get an upfront medical exam if you’re being sponsored as a spouse, partner or child. Wait for our instructions before going for your medical exam."""
Before giving the medication, I have confirmed with the IRCC agent that I can provide the medicals without the letter, hence, we go head with the medicals.

Please let me know if anyone in the same boat. It's urgent as the deadline only 30 days
Thanks
The agent was wrong.

so, do we need to do the medicals again, as the agent was saying that the medical report has been added to my files?
You can call them and ask or try to write. But they're under no obligation take the medical reports the instructions said not to do.you may not get an answer and will have to decide what to do

Yes, you are right, they are not under any obligation to consider. I called them but they are saying that the application is with Newyork office so they can not contact or do anything.
I have sent the web form but they will take 2 weeks to respond and we do not want to take chance, we will give it again....
Thanks for your insights

Like reason like these . I always talk to 3 different agents to feel confident in what they are saying . Some are really knowledgeable, but some just anything even if they are in doubt. They might give suggestions that can be very detrimental to your case. Just an advise call couple of times especially in your case regarding medicals.

The problem is, agents on the phone are not agent of immigration. I don’t know how to contact/talk to a real agent of immigration? Through webform ? Even that I’m not sure.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion, I will definitely call them and cross verify with them at least 4 times.

Don't know the situation but entirely possible the agent thought was for a different type of application, for which upfront medicals are done.

Since the written instructions are pretty clear - well, do that.

Hello - quick question.

Just trying to apply for TRV for my wife. One of the documents that are required is the 'Proof of Upfront Medical Exam'. I thought for visits less than 6 months, it was not required?

Anyways, she did perform the medical exam for PR application. Can we just upload the same documents (results)?

Thanks

Medical is required as part of a TRV application. I think you should be able to use the one from your PR app if it's less than a year old. You will have to send a web form and inquire if that will work.

Someone just discouraged me lol

Is it true that if we do a medical exam for a visa/permit or whatever, we don’t have to do another medical exam for the PR as long as the medical exam is still valid (less than 1 year) ?

One girl just said “they asked my husband to do another medical exam even though he had another medical exam from a previous TRV (less than one year)”.

Yes it is, read the checklist etc. Upfront medical is not accepted, only to be done once you get the request.
