Yes CEC is going to continue till fall but can't speculate when it will end.

Hey all, I’m at 478. Just trying to map out how long before I get invited when FSW-O rounds start. I mean just want to know how many EOIs are ahead of me.

AHEAD OF 478...Roughly 6000-7000 at the max..
ahead of 470.....14000

Scores currently are not a priority for them. Immigration is a political tool. It is easy to justify giving permanent residency to temporary workers who are already in the Canada and helping them with the recovery than importing foreign talent who will take at least more than an year to land

To some extend, i do agree with you.
But they will look at the quality of immigrants too.
Someone with a double master's is more likely to start a start-up than someone under 400...(with no offense intended)...
For whatever reasons immigration is taking place, i believe Canada does want to have a mixed bag...rather than 100000+ '75- 400 CRS' immigrants

Australia and NZ had this type of immigration for a long long time.
If that is the case, then be it..
But do you IRCC will be super generous with CEC and so stingy with FSW?
Australia and NZ are stingy with both types...even a double masters who has been educated in Australia finds its impossible to migrate

that's because their intake is low, Canada's intake is way more than both of them combined.

So they always surprise

first draw will be 485+ for 5000 ITAs, people are getting added every now and then

I have no idea, to be honest, but I think engineers will get preference, a degree in nursing will be a priority, maybe. I am not sure about this at all.

There is a part time mathematician on youtube.
He reckons that 6000 ITA in first round would mean that Cut off is 479-481.
Second round..it will drop to 473-474
Third round-471-470.
By three rounds, 470+ would be consumed..
i think even if draws start in October, they will go all the way till December( meaning at least 4 rounds)
anyone above 470 can breathe easy

But if you are hell bent on giving 120000 + ITA a year.
You could give an odd 30000 to fsw as well.

Well, the pool has really become huge, they can be selective in whom to invite.
