To get an appointment for medicals now,you have to wait long for like 2 months like the poster above said.

Your best option is to keep checking multiple medical physicians website hoping someone will cancel and you quickly pick that date.

Thanks I used a Lawyer and as of Friday, she said she didn't get any Mail but am going to call IRCC on Monday.

So I suggest you try to call to book. You just might get lucky. And you don’t necessarily have to wait till you get a mail from cic for medicals. I found that only one place was willing to do an upfront medical and that place is in Scarborough. Also if you feel you are close enough in the process or if you are still waiting for your hours to be completed and you would still send correspondence to cic, it might be worth a shot to get your police report and submit it with your other stuff. This is the absolute truth. I sent them a mail with my police reports and background check information, they confirmed that they have received it. They didn't yet request for it though. Because to wait till they contact you is excruciating. When I also called them, the told me I have passed my security checks. I requested for a waiver on my medicals, as they expired about 5 months ago. As of now, I am waiting for the go ahead to withdraw my claim from IRB.

On contact form. And attached all the documents there. Plus all the explanation i needed to give. I know they will send aip one of these days. I received aor since March 4.

Happy New week everyone, just checking on us all, may we all recieved Good news this week. I called IRCC today to inform them am yet to receive my Medical email since May 4th of my AIP, he told me it doesn't mean it will be spontaneous, that it can take weeks before they send it. Anyone ever experienced receiving a Medical email for several weeks after AIP?

My advice,not a must you follow it.
Prior to getting my AIP,I faxed them my Police certificate since they said they are running background checks on me.
I said let me help them to make it faster and their job easier.

This is the Fax number ;6046661116
Police checks of all countries I have stayed beyond 6 months.

A hand written letter with my details from ;
UCI No.
Application No.
Full names.
Address.

I did it with faith,a week later I got my AIP.
I dont know if that was what hasten it,or I was almost about to get approved for it.

It was just a coincidence. The background checks they do is different and more detailed from the ones you did and send to them.
IRCC uses and relies on Canadian Security Intelligence Service CSIS for background checks.

Is the background checks same as Criminal,Security checks or both?
