I wonder why they are allowing applicants to stay in the pool. - because they can, and maybe it's fun for them to see innocent folks who worked hard to reach this point losing their hopes and lives when they change the decisions later. lol some kind of psychological and deep pleasure

If there is a definite plan to retire the existing FSW program then they should close the pool right now.- maybe to the IRCC and Trudeau there is no fun closing the pool now
Apart from studying for IELTS, I don't see how outlanders are "working hard", they just need to gather their documents and wait for the invitation, absolutely zero impact on their daily lives. Some people just want to get out of their home country no matter what.

There are many FSW's who studied French, most of them never move anywhere near Quebec yet to achieve an ITA they did. FSW's who live nowhere near Europe, Some even from east Asian countries. You have French results? I believe if you did you won't quote this "I don't see how outlanders are "working hard"

That I do agree… not the working hard part, but the daily lives part.

Wait till you reach the 30's and when there is a family of your own. then you may understand the importance of the hard work some FSW's do. so better not to question anyone's life and their work trying to achieve an ITA. stuffs are different across all countries.
Well to me as you said it's not much work cause I don't have a family hehe

Yep, I said don’t agree that they don’t work hard.

I already lost points as I turned 31 few months ago.

Immigration is a juicy business.
Reckon how much IELTS, ECA agencies make?
Possibly they are hand in glove with them..

Learning French from scratch just to boost your score is just too much unless you want to immigrate that badly which is not important in my opinion. If you are not happy in your own country where your family and relatives live, how can you be happy in another country?

I never considered learning French even though I was sure that I will not be getting ITA with my score, just accepted that and moved and then out of the blue, received invite from OINP.

Well obviously they aren't happy in their home country otherwise they wouldn't leave by any means possible to live in a foreign country.

In some cases, they are, not that it's Canada's fault. Applying for immigration from scratch costs a lot of money. I know people who have spent thousands on preparing for IELTS and taking the exam. Other priorities are put aside to realize the Canadian dream which shouldn't be the case.

First of all, "outlanders" had been the majority of skilled immigrants until the pandemic excuses began. Review the history of draws to verify this yourself. How prospective skilled immigrants work hard (as already known):

- They study hard for english to top their language scores
- They study hard to get advanced degrees like master's or PhD
- They work hard to get skilled industry experience usually 3+ years to get all the points
- They work hard to save at least 13000 CAD for proof of funds
- They work double-time to do all this before they turn 30 because otherwise they start to lose points
- Some even study French as a second foreign language and top that too

And they still have to compete with other skilled candidates. So they well deserve their invitations.
To add to this, most of these applicants come from poor third world nation where it's super expensive for them to save money for POF, pay the application fees etc. not including the money they spend to qualify for ITA

Week in , week out all yous do is break hearts with your words like you are on a mission. FSW will resume as soon as the economy opens up July 17th. This is the exact thing people did last year, some swore they had Trudeau's number on speed dial giving them information and how there was no need for FSW.
Then when the draws resumed and paused in October 27 to accommodate bilingual folks, this same thread said it was finished - speak French or go home.

Rather than make assumptions for IRCC, just wait and see what happens. If they wanted to retire FSW, why won't they just say that to attract folks they want as they did with the recent pathways mentioned?

You claim NOCs are the way forward but how do you explain Manitoba's PNP?

Anyway, what will be , will be!!

While I agree that folks here are a bit too pessimistic than they need to be, last year there wasn't any news about potential changes to the FSW and it was not put on hold for as long as this time. Also, there were no nonsensical streams like 90k or CEC ITAs for scores as low as 75. I can understand why people here are panicking about the impending doom.
