I recently feel extremely demotivated by reading this thread. I believe some of us are being too pessimistic! I dont think they would retire FSW stream just out of the blue! Im standing at 474 and trying to stay motivated to get to 476 by Evaluating my husband's Masters. I believe we should focus on what we can do to achieve higher crs.
If being optimistic is good then the optimists need to accept the fact that time never waited for anyone. stay optimistic and wait. While the pessimistic go doers do something to change their plans accordingly. IRCC and Trudeau got many other stuffs to do by 2023. feels harsh mate but this is how it is goin on now. we don't want you to waste time because of some political agendas going on there for their own profit. I believe, me , you and all other aspirants here are trying to survive and live peacefully.

The word on upcoming FSW changes are from officials, nobody's being pessimistic. People are trying to update their plans to the upcoming changes. CRS may not mean anything depending on the changes so there's no point trying to increase CRS anymore.

Source will be IRCC, and expected to come before this December
type of NOCs are they mostly looking for - Not yet

If these both were confirmed all FSW's will be changing plans the moment the news is out.

so far what we have is this -

I wonder why they are allowing applicants to stay in the pool. If there is a definite plan to retire the existing FSW program then they should close the pool right now.

I'm also wondering how long it takes to make the new FSW program official and whether or not it will affect the applications currently in progress.

From an immigration lawyer: visa officers indicated in a meeting that the earliest time they are going to process existing FSW applications is August.
I won't expect any draws until they start issue PPRs to existing FSW applications.

Thank you for this information!
It clearly shows what we have been expecting all along, a possible restarting of FSW in September. With the pace of the vaccination, which is 44% of the population having received at least one dose as of now, it may happen even sooner.

This thread is going from Ray of Hope to freaking Armageddon!

Can we please post if we have relevant information regarding FSW that can help us with our dream to Canada? Its annoying to read comments that have nothing to do with the reality of Canada. One thing is for sure, they need skilled immigrants and they will continue to invite them as soon as they get their COVID situation under control.

I doubt it will. The applicants got ITA because they were found éligible. Based on ITA, they applied and paid necessary fees. They must therefore get a decision on their files. Whatever changes IRCC intend can not be applied retrospectively to candidates who had already applied

I wonder why they are allowing applicants to stay in the pool. - because they can, and maybe it's fun for them to see innocent folks who worked hard to reach this point losing their hopes and lives when they change the decisions later. lol some kind of psychological and deep pleasure

If there is a definite plan to retire the existing FSW program then they should close the pool right now.- maybe to the IRCC and Trudeau there is no fun closing the pool now

Apart from studying for IELTS, I don't see how outlanders are "working hard", they just need to gather their documents and wait for the invitation, absolutely zero impact on their daily lives. Some people just want to get out of their home country no matter what.

There are many FSW's who studied French, most of them never move anywhere near Quebec yet to achieve an ITA they did. FSW's who live nowhere near Europe, Some even from east Asian countries. You have French results? I believe if you did you won't quote this "I don't see how outlanders are "working hard"
