Hi , I have a question regarding Express Entry application.

Currently i am working in Canada on ICT Work permit (employer specific). my current work permit is valid till dec 2022. While filling my express entry profile, can i select "Yes" for below question?

Do you have a job offer in Canada?

I think if i select Yes, i am getting 50 points ..

Thank you in Advance
Be very careful here.

Yes, if your work permit is employer specific and you are working full time there. Then you will get 50 points :)
You'll have to read this to get a better understanding of how you should answer that question.

People that come to Canada on ICT are generally exempt from LMIA. But, you should also satisfy the below conditions to be able to claim points for this job offer. See the point highlighted in red.

Your employer doesn’t need an LMIA to support your job offer if:

  1. you have been working full-time for the employer on your work permit for at least 1 year (or an equal amount of part-time work)
  2. you have a valid job offer, and
  3. you have a valid work permit that is exempt from an LMIA under:
    • an international agreement
    • a federal-provincial agreement
    • the “Canadian interests” category ==> ICT falls under this category

I have one year experience in Canada . But my employer will not give a letter saying i will be employed for one year after getting PR. I am eligible for CEC class. But i am not sure without that letter, i can claim the points or not. I received ITA with those points -507 , cutoff for my draw is 417.. so now if i say no for it and give LOE that i am not able get the offer letter from my employer ... Is it Ok? if i exclude those 50 points for job offer still my score is more than cut off...

If your CRS was still above the cut-off of the draw in which you received your ITA if you exclude those 50 points, then yes, you can answer differently on the ITA and include a letter of explanation mentioning that your CRS was greater than the cut-off of draw on XX date and you hence you've removed the points you've claimed for the job offer after ITA.

Thank you very much Raj for your reply,
I have one last question, this is regarding my proof of experience.... I have worked in different roles in my past experience in India like Trainee systems analyst (2014-2016), systems analyst (2016-2018), consultant(2018-2020)... But while submitting my profile, i mentioned my role as consultant(thought my last role was enough) for all those years(2014-2020). My reference/ experience letter will have all roles and their respective dates.... Can i submit it as a proof or i need to change the same in profile as well?

When I applied for PR, I provided only my latest title. As long as your duties fall under the same NOC and you otherwise meet the requirements of foreign work experience as defined by IRCC, you should be good.

I submitted a LOE that explained that though my titles are different, my duties never changed and my duties were always aligned with the duties listed under the NOC chosen for that experience.

Please Guide
I Have completed my B.com from Mumbai University [regular college] and
Part 1 M.com from Distance learning wing of Mumbai University
For part 2 M.com what should I choose - Distance learning from Mumbai University or regular college
I am fine with both, whichever helps me for CANADA PR

Hello, do you/ does anyone here know something about the program for the 90000 new pathway for PR under international students? I graduated here in Canada with an equivalent of 1-year certificate. Am I eligible for the program? Thank you

yes, if you meet the criteria. it is not 90,000 for just graduates.

I mean. For international students there’s a passage saying

one or more diploma/certificate/attestation where the following conditions are met:
  • For diplomas/certificates/attestations, each program of study must be at least 8 months in duration and the combined length of the credential(s) must be equivalent to a two-year credential (at least 16 months in duration

Is it also for 1year course or just for 2years course? Because of the word combined length, I am confused.

Hello,

I graduated with master's degree in September 2020 and have a valid work Authorization with visa. But currently due to to some personal reasons I'm not in canada but planning to return in when flights are available again. I have currently ongoing lease in my name and have open bank accounts. Can I apply in the international graduate pathway with work Authorization?

If you are on an open work permit or PGWP, a valid job offer doesn’t give you any points for CRS. For that you need a LMIA.
Sorry, I am a little confused. Please help me. I am under PGWP and working as an Inventory Coordinator, so I don't have a valid job offer even if I am currently working? Thank you so much.

What do you need the valid job offer for - claiming 50 points for Express Entry? If so, you need a LMIA.
