Accommodation required for Concordia student with spouse

Me and my wife are planning to come montreal in July 2021. I am a student of Concordia.
What would be the best accommodation plan(Cheaper) for us? Good place for staying?

You will have to look for an apartment after landing and doing quarantine. The Montreal rental market is quite competitive but most landlords want to meet you in person. You will have to see what is available closer to the date.

I have two question. There are some sites(HoJo, kijiji) for renting house. Isn't possible to booking or renting the house in montreal by those sites? Can I quarantine there or need to book airbnb for qurantine?

What type of apartment we have to choose as couple like (studio, or 1 1/2 or 2 1/2 or condo). I am not really aware about those type of system.

You want to see an apartment or condo before you rent it to make sure it is not a scam and is in good condition. Most landlords will not rent to you without meeting you. Almost all apartments are unfurnished so it won’t be possible to quarantine in most. In Canada apartments are listed by the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. It is assumed you will also have a bathroom, kitchen and a combination of living room/dining room (separate in larger homes) unless it is a studio.

Most on campus housing only allows singles not couples. There may be some married student accommodation.

For the covid situation, no on-campus is allowed now. So there is no option for that.

What I understand from your comments that we have to land there and physically meet with landlord and then rent the house.
So, after 3 days quarantine in airport should we go for quarantine in airbnb?
Also we want to stay far from downtown(expensive) but near to the metro(accessible to concordia) station. What is your suggestion for us?Thanks

Yes I would suggest getting an airbnb for at least a few weeks after doing your hotel quarantine. It may not be possible to find an available rental to move into immediately. Don't have exact suggestions about locations. Would see about availability and prices close to subway stations when you look.
