Can someone confirm on how quick IRCC provides the letter that says you can work full time?

Hey, just got to know that my Application for PGWP (re-applied after refusal) is at Operations support Centre, Ottawa. Is anyone aware of this location like - Processing times and if open during lockdown or not?

Any updates?
No other updates. Online still shows under review. Called up IRCC and the rep told me that I have passed the eligibility requirements on March 17th and just waiting on the officer to make a decision.
Had applied for GCMS notes on March 18th and haven't received them yet.

You cannot re-apply now since the days have passed. You have 180 days after you get your final marks to apply for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP).

If you notice, his application was transferred to a local office, usually that's what happens when a file is delayed for more than 4-5 months.
Not sure why his app was sent to a local office, but it could be for any reason.
Lately there were some files transferred, usually happens when a senior officer needs to review it. Your status hasn't changed at all which is kinda surprising.

When you call IRCC, 1-888-242-2100, they will let you know exact detail of your file and what's happening.
Your first step is to call and ask, keep trying to call till you get connected to an agent !
When I applied for my SP extension I used to call that number maybe even 10 times in a span of 5 mins, just to be in line. You can also request a call back I believe.

Second and third steps are for GCMs notes and getting your MP involved. GCMS notes show exactly what's happening with your file and every movement since the date you applied.
There is no issue in calling in to check, IRCC call center agents are providing a service, and you are the client !
Keep me updated.

Hey, it was a different case this side. I got a refusal and then applied for reconsideration so I contacted MP office to check the status of consideration. Now, you can either call the office or send them an email (if they do not pick your call). In the email, include your Full name, address, Date of birth, contact number, UCI number and your application number. Once MP office receives your call/ email, they will let you know how much time it will take for them to get back to you.

Hope this helps!
Hi,
I have called IRCC. I was told that we have not started to check your eligibility, yet, and I put a note on your application. I have involved my local MP, as well. I have received my approval letter today.
I appreciate your time and recommendations on my case.
Thank you very much.

Hi all,
I got my letter approval and physical wp last week and just have time to put some tip for who have the same timeline with me. Here is my timeline
- Graduated & received official letter on August 20,2020
-Applied on Sep 4,2020
- First letter correspondence on Dec 06,2020
- No update
- first webform submitted to IRCC on Dec 14,2020 to ask for an update
- first call IRCC on Feb 20,2021 to ask for an update and requested the representative to put an urgent request. And she told me to call back on March 15,2021 if there is no update
-second call IRCC on March 17,2021 and asking for another update and urgent request again
- March 19,2021 sent out an webform and saying that I needed to know my decision because my employer wanted to know the result before they hand me over more responsibilities. I attached all my 3 months paystubs, employment verification as the proof of my current employment in health care sector.
- my background check was changed to N/A on March 21,2021
- got the online approval on March 25, 2021
-Received the physical wp on March 28,2021.
my case is a bit complicated where total of study years were6 in total (2 years diploma, 3.5 years degree), sometime in diploma, I worked more than 20 hours per week however I maintained my full time. During my second final term, due to my complicated health issue, i had to do spend sometime in my back home and having a gap around 3-4 months. I was so worried about my pgwp but finally i got the decision and It was the best day of my life .
